Hope?

I had my scan today and we are having a girl! I've been toying with a few names, Anya being my favourite but vetoed by DH Angry.

I like the name Hope, and after recurrant miscarriages it seems fitting also, but I know it's a marmite name. What do you all think? Those that may like it, can you suggest middle names that might go nicely? Thanks in advance!

I like it Smile

Love it. A 3-syllable name in the middle would balance it a bit - something like Abigail or Elizabeth or Isabel.

I like it, a girl in my daughters class is called Hope Eliza, I think it's a pretty name

It sounds a little wet.

Congratulations on your girl. Looks like you will have to change your username! RaisingMenAndHope. I like that!

Hope is lovely. I met a little one recently. I like word names for names, but I personally prefer something longer so they have options. But as short word names go, Hope is great. What are your boys called?

Hope Tatiana
Hope Blythe
Hope Kismet
Hope Héloïse
Hope Seraphina

I like Hope. I also like the one of uptown's suggestions but would suggest Hope Eloise as an alternative.

Thank you for all your comments Smile. I have considered it as a middle name and its not out of the question. I really love all of the middle names that have been suggested, I've got a lot to think about!

I know one aged 8. Hope Catherine.
Don't like it as a first name I'm afraid.

I like Hope Alexandra, and also Alexandra Hope! Evelyn is now on the list but I don't like any of the M names other than Mia, but that's the name of my best friends little girl x

I think it's a lovely name. Definitely think a three sylable middle name sounds best with it. My daughter is paige victòria. Think one sylable sounds best with longer middle name.

Agree with others it works best with a longer middle name.
