We have our girl name sorted, but we need one for a boy. Not starting with a L or J, preferably a bit classical and not too 'English'.
I am happy with any suggestions, as we are really stuck!

Matthew and Maximilian will sound too English over here, but keep them coming!

All pan-european names with variable spellings but easily recognisable, this also works in ex-colobial settings, and in non-european historical backgrounds are known due to literature/popular connections.

Papal names work across Europe and swathes of the rest of the world:

As you don't want J and L, and want something in ordinary use (not like, say, Zosimus) how about: Peter, Benedict, Paul, Gregory, Francis, Adrian, Clement, Alexander, Victor, Cornelius, Felix, Marcus, Zacharias, Silvester, Stephen, Eugene?

I really like Tristan, but the DH is in doubt...

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I can cross a few more out as being to 'foreign', but loads fit all the criteria, so thanks! Too bad I will have to cross off even more due to close family with those names.
