How does one pronounce Georgiana, is it one n or Georgianna? Also is it a better middle name for Matilda than Georgina?

I think it's usually pronounce Jaw- jay-nah.

But I think Jaw-gee-arn-ah is prettier.

Jor-jay-nah.

I love it and would love to use it, but the child would spend their life correcting peoples pronunciation, so I can't.

I'd say:

Jee-or-jee-ah-na

Slight emphasis on the ah.

Think Matilda Georgiana flows better than Matilda Georgina (how I pronounce it it does anyway!) :)

It's supposed to be Jor-jay-nah but you will have people telling you it's Jor-je-arr-nah.

Agree with LizzieVereker on the pronunciation.

I also think it's a bit too fussy a middle name for Matilda.

It's a version of a family name we need to include, don't really like Georgina or Georgia but do like Georgiana. Just want whatever version fits best with first name Matilda!

It's spelt that way in the film 'The Duchess' and they pronounce it jor-jay-nah.

Jor Jane nah

It's a lovely name but two three syllable names both ending in 'a' doesn't really flow.

Correct pronunciation is Jaw-jayne-ah, in other words, two syllables.

But like many names, there are alternatives. But do you want a name where you will be correcting people for ever?
