Love smile

Tallulah...but you can't have a meek and mild Tallulah, she'd have to be out there and pretty confident to carry off a name like that.

Like Willow....beautiful but risky. If you end up with a beautifully curvaceous and cuddly Willow, it just doesn't fit!

Argh....misread, sorry.

I thought it was one of those choose your favourite threads. blush

MarvellousMechanicalMouseOrgan Thu 13-Feb-14 14:48:12

I love Tallulah, but not Phoebe.

Misfitless Thu 13-Feb-14 14:52:31

Think Tallulah is lovely as a firstname, bit not great for a middle name.

I'm going to sound like a right knob, but IMHO, a middle name should sort of complement the firstname, not over shadow it/drown it out.

If your name is Phoebe Tallulah, I think the middle name will take centre stage.

I don't like Pheobe, it's the opposite of Tallulah..a bit wet meek and mild.

Don't listen to me, though!

Love Phoebe but not keen on Tallulah smile

Innogen Thu 13-Feb-14 14:55:31

Hate tallulah. Way too fussy for such a cool name like Phoebe.

Starballbunny Thu 13-Feb-14 14:56:49

Phoebe - is classic and lovely
Tallulah - is the pseudo name of an Xfactor charge tear who is really called Jane

Phoebe - great name, a classic
Tallulah - not so much, of the moment

It's a bit like mixing a good red wine, and a strawberry daiquiri imo

UriGeller Thu 13-Feb-14 14:59:42

Interesting Misfitless, I think a middle name should be absolutely bonkers, the name you loved but didn't have the balls to use as a first name!

. I quite like Tallulah but its a bit like a name a minor celeb would give their child, a bit 'Bitsy-Blue' or 'Dixie-Dot' or one of those names.

Tallie is a good nn for Tallulah.

Phoebe is just a nothing name really. It doesn't signify an admirable character in a girl IMO.

Thanks everyone.
The more I say it the more I like it.
Phoebe is my current front runner if bubba is pink, and have been looking for middle names that end in an a sound that are 3/4 syllables long.
Like it with Amelia, Olivia, Isabella but something just doesn't seem special enough about them even though all lovely names.

I absolutely love Willow But DP will not go for it - he says I'm far too hippy lol agree Tallulah fits into the same bracket but probably wouldn't be brave enough to use it as a first name + DS is Noah and there's something about to matchy about them with thread sound being the same.

DitsyDonkey Thu 13-Feb-14 16:05:41

Love love love!!!

squoosh Thu 13-Feb-14 16:12:26

Honestly, middle names are completely irrelevant so use which ever name you like best.

susiedaisy Thu 13-Feb-14 16:26:49

Phoebe. As long as you don't mind her being called Feebs. Because that's what I think it will end up as!

Phoebe is great.
Tallulah is way too try hard for my taste.

curiousgeorgie Thu 13-Feb-14 17:26:17

I don't like Pheobe,

LOVE Tallulah though!

Bonsoir Thu 13-Feb-14 17:26:32

I'm not mad keen on Phoebe - I think it is going to date really badly sometime soon.

Scout19075 Thu 13-Feb-14 17:27:30

Someone has been reading the Shopalohic books....

scarletforya Thu 13-Feb-14 17:47:09

Phoebe is lovely but I don't like Tallulah.

The actress who plays Cat Slater called her daughter that, enough said!

justhayley Thu 13-Feb-14 18:01:37

Lol never read any shopaholic books - I'm assuming there's a phoebe Tallulah? Is she a decent human? & does she have good taste in shoes wink

Thanks for all the replies havnt had any "ridiculous name" comments so it can't be that bad smile

BelieveinWigan Thu 13-Feb-14 21:07:25
