Opinions on Anthea?

I like the meaning, literary references and the fact that it could be seen as an anagram of Athena, an excellent role model! What are your opinions on Anthea? What type of job would you expect an Anthea to have, that sort of thing?

I like Calanthe or Calanthea. For some reason, I don't like the name at all without the 'Cal' at the beginning!

But if you like Athena, why not just go for that instead of settling for an anagram of it?

I think Redfern, and it seems from earlier posts that I'm not alone in that. So if that 1970s association is still going strong, I should imagine the Turner one has a good many years still in it.

Agree with Edith - I sort of envisage Anthea Turner turning into Mary Whitehouse as she gets older, not entirely sure why but can't see this generation of babies getting away with it!
