Girl's name ending in "er" - nobody say Harper!

DH, inspired by the lovely weather, suddenly wants to name DD (due Monday) either India or Summer... I disagree.

However I can see that Summer goes well with our rather tricky last name by dint of the "er" ending, so am willing to consider any other "er" ending names. Trouble is can only think of 3 - Jennifer, Esther, Heather - all of which are already in use for close family/friends.

Don't like the more american variations like Harper, Rumer, even without the celebrity aspect. Any more suggestions/ammunition please?

Demeter.

Sometimes the "er" sound is written other ways - like Brunnhilde. Would you consider other spellings?

Rumer
Parker

But don't names ending in "a" also sound like "er" eg Rosa....not much diff from Roser. Maybe you could change the ending of an "a" name to suit!

In terms of sound, how about Flora?

I'd pronounce Summer 'sum-uh', not 'sum-errr' and same for Jennifer, Esther, Heather etc

If you'd pronounce it that way as well the you could use 'er' 'a' 'ah' 'ia' they can all make that sound.

Olivia
Mia
Tia
Sarah
Farah
Anna
Rhianna
Nala
Nisha
Thea
Rita
etc etc

Another vote for Hester. Please, please, please, please don't call her Parker. That has to be the worst name of all time ever.
