I think kid with PIA (with good reason-PIA ex) mum from 'Outnumbered'

Both.

Traditionally a boys name, and that's what I used to expect invariably. But since Dynasty, It no longer surprises me on a girl.

I think boy too! The first Alexis I met was a boy, so I suppose that is why.

But DH insists it is a girls name...

Girl. All the way!!! I have never even heard of it being used on a boy! How awkward that would be... It is viewed here as a very girly name!!

I know it's unisex name but my first reaction would be girl because everyone I know with that name is a girl.

Alexander is fine, it's just very long. I like quite short names.

I also think girl, because of Alexis Colby. Lots of Dynasty watchers emerging from the undergrowth.......

Girl, Dynasty, sorry :)

However, I am aware that it is a Russian boys' name so wouldn't be surprised to hear it was a boy IYSWIM

Boy. I had to think quite hard about girls, and I wouldn't want a child burdened with the name of a shoulder-padded tranny.
