Just wanted to say GOOD LUCK with your sale today.

Dior

Good luck with your sales. Very brave of you to go for it, and hope you do really well. From what I've heard, if people see your cards and like them, then they will come back for more, they are so much nicer than shop ones. I made a christmas card for my best friend, and it was really simple, very basic, but you would think I had painted the Mona Lisa for her, she has it on her wall, its only A6, but I think she was really touched that I had taken the time to do it.

Good luck, let us know how it went.

Hope it all goes well for you Dior! I used to do more general "craft" parties but ended up with loads and loads of knitwear orders. Together with my mum we used to take orders, mainly full length mohair coats, arans...those days seem so long ago now....I hardly have enough time to make the odd card, let alone a full length hand knitted coat!!
Have taken my stock box along to a support group metting I attend, with good response but previously the few orders I have taken have been through friends/family or the odd fundraising event at pre-school.
Whatever happens, it is all good advertising for you. Even if you don't sell that much (which is HIGHLY unlikely!) if you prepare yourself with flyers to hand out or business cards, you are sure to get future business from the evening!
Fingers crossed for you, enjoy the evening.

oh no, poor you.
why not change it to your advantage? if there aren't mnay who turn up, ask if they'd like to make their own and only charge them for the materials...they could all do the smae one or same type anyway. then when they get into a pickle with peel-offs, stamps, inks, mounts etc they will really apprecaite your cards all the more.
i think many paople think that cards are easy and anyone can do it; they may enjoy it and it will help your evevning

have a good time
