Dear Arts & Crafts people, can anyone think where I can get ...

small figures, pixies, fairies, kind of christmas tree decoration size, to decorate a log in a kind of magical forest way? [sound of penny dropping] or have I just answered my own question - use xmas tree decorations?

Argh, I have a catalogue somewhere with just the sort of thing you are looking for in it but can't find it or remember the name ... iirc it is based in a swedish/norwegian (certainly scandanavian-based) country and they sell all sorts of fabulous hobby craft bits and pieces ... begins with P I think ... argh that's going to bug me all night!!!

Miaou - if you remember the name of that catalogue, please post it! I can't remember either and it's been bugging me for days! There were lots of little elf-y things and some really unusual craft materials. I used to get it, but I didn't order for a while and they stoped sending it to me.

I don't know if they would be too prone to sogginess but there are these dear little fairies or these little wooden angels that might just pass as fairies. Baker Ross also do lots of more Christmassy things like snowmen and penguins, but that sounds as though it wouldn't be quite what you're after.

I have to decorate a shiitake mushroom log for a wedding present. Might plant some of the fake panduro mushrooms on it amongst the magical fairies etc!
