I've got quite a large family and want to crochet or knit some little things - sort of hamper fillers. Any good ideas? I can sew too, but I was thinking crochet.....

I thought Christmas baubles for the trees and that's about it!

Do you quilt? Quilted wine bottle covers, and tea cozies, in Christmas fabrics.

Crochet round curtain rings in red or green yarn, add a bow at the top and some thread to hang it on the tree and you've got mini wreaths.

Littlecottonrabbits blog has a gorgeous pattern for an egg cosy and for teeny tiny little bunnies (and outfits for them). The tiny bunny one is free to download and the egg cosy is about £2 and is very clear (I hadn't knitted for about ten years and I managed to make two).

So many great ideas! The curtain ring one is very clever! And sausage I must love little cotton rabbits....she is so neat and clever! I may have to make a bunny or two, but not sure I could part with them either!

I like the Christmas quilty ideas too! Thank you clever creative people!

Are you making a food and drink hamper?

I've been thinking of putting together small hampers with a bottle of pear cider and a jar of partridge pate and making pair of felt decorations, one partridge and one pear, to go in the hamper as well.

That's a lovely idea Alice! Hmm maybe a themed hamper along the 12 days theme ...what a great idea. I was planning a couple of handmade tree decs, a chutney, a pomander...I've already started the pomanders.

I was hoping to find something else Partridge-y to go with them instead of the pate, as not everyone likes pate, but I've been struggling.

Even something with a Partridge brand-name that wasn't actually made of Partridge would work. The only thing I've found so far is a printable Toblerone cover with Alan Partridge on it, so I might be stocking up on those as well if I can't find anything else in time Grin
