AIBU?

To laugh in the face of the asda woman when she said she was going to send me a free delivery voucher?

My shopping was due between 5-7pm tonight.

7pm came, no shopping, no phone call. So I called them. How late is it running I asked?
I'll phone the store and find out and they'll call you back, I was told.

Half an hour later - no shopping, no phone call. I called back. This person said they would phone the store and find out what was happening and the driver would call me back.

20 minutes later - no shopping no call.

I called again. This time I am told it is on its way, they can't say what time, they are having 'van problems'.

at 20 past 8 it finally shows up.

Missing the bag of frozen items. AND the receipt shows that the total cost of shopping was nearly a fiver less than they took off my bloody card!!!

So I phoned up. Explained the bloody FARCE and that my frozen items were missing AND that they had taken nearly a fiver more than the shopping came to.

Apparently that's just what they've 'reserved', not what they'll take and they took the details of the missing items and will refund them. This will take 7-10 working days.

So I have NO frozen food AND they have all my shopping money so I can't get more fucking frozen food to manage from now until the 7-10 working days when they will give me my bloody money back!

And then, then she said "I will send you a voucher for free delivery on your next order"

Well.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

I laughed my head off.

I said Do you really think I will order from you again? I'm going back to Tesco.

grrrrrrr

I've just switched to Tesco for similar reasons. Last time asda failed to bring me any milk (8 x 4pinters) and no fruit and veg, and made a hoo har about refunding the delivery - will only give a voucher for next time. I'm fed up with them now - hoping Tesco have better customer service at least. YANBU.

Psycho, I'll meet you round the back in half an hour.

Mad - I have used Tesco for years, almost never had problems with them. (Once or twice they've fecked up, but I've had better apologies!!) I have used Asda about 4 times - twice has been like this!! I must be stupid for giving them another chance!

Oh, and - AND they didn't deliver 4 of my items.

I am prepared to accept substitutions.
Do you know what they were? these items that apparently are unavailable in any form in a large asda store?

DO YOU???

curry sauce
chicken
fish
gluten free crackerbread

ok, that last one I am prepared to overlook but are you seriously telling me that there was NO chicken, fish or curry sauce of ANY make, in asda today?

What a load of shit they are!

When I said didn't deliver - I don't mean the bag of frozen stuff that they charged me for, that's seperate - I mean the bit at the top - "the following items were not available today, you have not been charged for them"
OH REALLY??? Well that's NOT WHAT IT SAYS ON MY FUCKING CARD!!

Had exactly the same, I was waiting to cook my Sunday roast. Delivery driver was rude as hell and didn't even apologise. Had to sort out the refund for delivery myself. Switched back to Tesco, but was thinking of trying Asda again. It seems things haven't changed so don't think I will bother.

No. I wouldn't bother if I were you.

They are consistently crap. ime.

I had problems like this with asda too. 1 delivery was 3 days late as they had computer problems but had taken the money. I had to scrounge of my parents or go to theirs for tea with ds.

Hectate are you sure they have just reserved taken the original total?? If i were you i would check your account. I had a difference of the 12PENCE between the expected and actual price and they took both amounts of my card

Well, they can't take it twice, fortunatly. I use a prepay card for my internet purchases, and there is no more money on it. (I only put on what I am going to use that week) So if they try to take a second fify odd quid, it'll just be rejected.

I've just started shopping with ocado and they are much better than Tesco/sainsburys. On time, everything you ordered, complimentary newspaper and voucher for free bottle of wine in next order.

I couldn't afford ocado!

Bloody hell Hecates its bad enough going without the booze for 9 months Can you be MN knighted for abstinance from Alcohol? If so you deserve it.
And yes ASDA delivery is a big bag of shite, they refused to deliver mine to my door and made me struggle up 3 flights of stairs on my own. Tosspots.
