AIBU?

To be a bit miffed that just when I decide to start actually posting a bit on Mumsnet instead of just lurking, it suddenly seems much quieter than it used to be.

Is it me, or is it quieter than usual?

Don't take it personally. It was manic earlier, my convo kept falling off the bottom every couple of minutes. Everyone's probably exhausted

I think its quieter than usual, the same conversations have been in active convos for three nights, its normally much quicker.

All the teachers are being good and marking books. In a few weeks they'll be back on here all night swigging gin.

Sewing?
Iron-on nametags?

At Snice Towers we use the time honoured method of writing the child's name with a biro on the back of the washing instruction label. I am either very common or very lazy.

I have woven name tags too bought in a rush of PFB madness before the start of reception. I gave up on them half way through Yr1 when I realised no-one (i.e. other mummies) will ever know.

I embroider(sp) my chn's names onto their clothes. Name tags are for slatterns.

FabioBadAssCat · 08/09/2008 23:08

snice's children will think their full name is dc surname made in taiwan © Johnny Boden and his simpering crew

You can superglue nametapes on.
The glue goes a bit hard in the wash, so don't do somewhere rubby.
But tis glue all the way for blazer and coats and that.

I too am miffed that after 2 years, no-one has ever known about my PINK WITH PICTURE OF A LITTLE FAIRY woven name tags.
