What can I do about my saggy boobs?

Shamelessly posting here for traffic and have obviously name changed Blush

I'm 10 months postpartum and have the saggiest boobs in the world.

For context, I'm a small person - 26, 5'2 and just over 7 1/2 stone. I developed huge bazookas during pregnancy and just after the birth.

After unsuccessfully breastfeeding, my boobs just went ... south.

They're genuinely awful and I'm so embarrassed by them! My sex life has gone kaput and I can't bear to even look at them myself.

It's almost like there's no actual breast tissue left, just skin!

Is there anything in the world that could possibly help me besides surgery?!

Mine can now be rolled up and I’ve have made peace with them. You’re not alone!

It is annoying how some tops look weird now my boobs end halfway down my torso Confused. I’m following incase anyone has any bra tips.

You can get a slight lift from exercising your pecs but the stuff that holds up your boobs isn’t elastic so once stretched it stays at its longest. I’m also small and the lack of fat doesn’t help. Sorry :/

I'm also following this thread. I'm so unhappy with my post-baby boobs that I'm actually looking into surgery and am weighing up my fear of something going wrong with the surgery V how unhappy I am and how it's affecting my mental health.

Get a decent bra... Go to a really good shop and get them to fit you for a bra. (Not m&s...at least John Lewis if not somewhere even nicer.) Spend the money on it. Make sure you take a couple of favourite tops to try on over the bra. Then after you've had all your kids - maybe surgery.

Nothing OP, I'm sorry.

I say that as someone who's in the same boat

I genuinely dont think my husband notices loads -after all various parts of him have sagged and I still love him

But I have invested in some nice underwear, I dont know what they're called but he outline kind that look pretty and allow...stuff...but don't leave me feeling quite as vulnerable.

Other than that it's aboob uplift or a million press ups and I just cant be arsed

I was unhappy with my boobs before babies and even more unhappy after. I had them done last year (reduction) - I’m so glad I did. I know surgery isn’t for everyone, but I don’t have even the tiniest smidge of regret.

There are website with picture of real boobs, taken by professional women photographers. It made me feel a lot better as I realised I was comparing myself to much younger women usually with fake tits. Normal boobs are not normally photographed. What you think you're comparing yourself to isn't real

I wonder if they firm or lift a bit over time? I've had this after children and when/after breastfeeding but they seemed to recover somewhat in my 40s. And they are not small!

Yes get yourself booked in for a bra fitting. In fact try more than one place. I second don't go to M&S, go somewhere with a good selection of brands and stock. I had a great fitter in a large department store and she wasn't only looking at size and fit but style and shape as well.

Oh and you mentioned sex life... I find bralettes look good. Not under clothes as the support they provide isn’t great but because they’re longer than a bra they play with proportions and make it less obvious that the breasts aren’t high up. Also because they don’t provide lots of support your breasts don’t change position once it comes off!

A really good, well fitting bra. Leave it on for sex.

Have you just finished breastfeeding? If so for gods sake don't get surgery! They change! Mine were fairly empty looking post bf, but they plumped out again a year or so later.
Also, they are just tits. You can still be attractive and sexy with saggy ones!

I agree that mine seemed to "recover" somewhat after a few years (or maybe I just got used to them!).

I agree that getting some new bras that you like and feel attractive in can help you get your confidence back a bit (including keeping them on during sex if you wish).

@IfNotNowThenWhy I hope this is true. I stopped 4 months ago and mine are still very empty. I'm not rushing into surgery in the hopes of what you've said being true (as someone else has said this to me) but I'm preparing myself to maybe do it in the future.

Swimming can improve there apperance as can weight training.

Exercise with weights can help. Anything that will help develop the pecs.
Chest presses and flyes and so on. You can do them at home with 2 water bottles as weights.

They do recover a bit after a year plus after stopping bf. Mine are loads better 3 years on. Plus exercise helps tons too. Since I've been doing upper body strength training my boobs are much perkier!

I am afraid, short of surgery, good scaffolding does it, i.e. correctly sized well padded bras such as Ewa Michalaks Bra S. Thin lace or unwired don’t do it for me since breastfeeding my three (for six years combined). My boobs look noticeably different in one of those [https://www.ewa-michalak.pl/product-eng-582-Bra-S-Diament-Mulitiway.html]

Check out the 'saggyboobsmatter' social media page. Please.

My nipples are about 5 inches from my belly button and I never go without a bra..BF five children. They certainly have 'character'! Breasts aren't anti-gravity devices, though are they?

Weight training can help ever so slightly but it won't make the tissue re-fill. Surgery is fantastic, I work in plastic surgery. Happy to answer Q's. It's a brilliant procedure and definitely one I'll be having in the years to come! Grin

God I thought it was just me, mine aren't far off my belly button.

Wasn't so bad after dc1 but are literally empty sacks of skin after dc2.

I never had to dry under them after taking a shower but now have to dry thoroughly there and my boobs are tiny!

I don't care that people will now see my username and think, "5 inches from belly button" - it's time all shapes, areola sizes, mismatched, battle scarred, post-natal, post-chemo, inverted and the rest, are represented. Breast tissue does droop. Nipples can face downward, upwards, one higher than the other. Breasts come in all shapes and varieties and yet, and yet, we are force fed aesthetically symmetrical breasts with the areolas just so! Not tooooo big, but if they are, they will always defy the laws of gravity, and every pair of tits allowed on screen look ah-may-zing under a white t-shirt sans bra. It's tired out codswallop and I'm bored with it.

My DP loves to wibble wobble his face in my breasts. There's nothing wrong with them.

OP, you do what you need to in order to feel content with yourself. Sorry for my soapbox rant.

Definitely don't stop having sex just because one part of your body has changed shape.

Report

The secret is to go and get a really good bra fitting - ask locally for recommendations, and spend as much as you dare on as many good quality bras as you can, and lo and behold you'll have perky boobs again. Honestly chuck out all your pre-baby bras, and ll your post baby bras too, you know they don't really fit well and are doing your figure no favours.
