AIBU?

wanting the loo roll hung my way?

Serious debate needed.

My dh and ds want to hang the loo roll back to front, after years of happily having it the 'proper way'. They are putting up a strong case and I'm feeling out-numbered.

We have always had it so the paper drapes down the front of the roll. Now they want it to fall down at the back (wallside).

Now call me unreasonable, but being the only laydee of the hise, I think I should have the final say of how it should be, since I dispense from it at every visit. Plus I think it looks more aesthetically pleasing, and is easier to reach. Not forgetting the fact I'm the one who usually changes it, and buys it in the first place.

So, how does everyone else hang their loo paper. And am I really being so unreasonable wanting the loo roll hung my way? (I know life's too short, but humour me anyway.)

ha ha- I HAVE to have it hung properly (ie. away from the wall) - I change it if somewhere and it's wrong, lol, how sad?

ha!

Can't believe I'm actually answering this - but I agree with paper to the front.

It usually ends up with 'paper at the front' too, as I seem to be the only person in this household able to put a roll of toilet paper on the blasted holder!!!

I agree with you, the paper should drape down the front of the roll. It saves having to scrabble and scratch your nails against the wall to get hold of the paper. Also, you do have a point about using paper at every visit unlike the two chaps who do not have to use it every time. If they turn it round the other way, keep changing it. They'll soon get fed up of switching it back.

Our bathroom and kids' bathroom, they're on a thing that sits on the floor poking upwards.(like a kitchen roll holder I suppose)
Downstairs loo, they sit on the radiator.
One less thing to worry about.

Thank you laydees, but not TMMJ this time. I KNEW I was justified in my stance. Think I might introduce 'points'. Very stylish!

I can't believe anyone ANYONE suggesting it should drape down the back.

It's just obvious that it should drape down the front. How else would you be able to display the nicely folded V shape?

MEN!

Whadaya mean "they're putting up a strong case"? Shouting you down by force of numbers, more like! Of course loo roll hangs to the front. Humph!

I even change it to the front in loos in restaurants. Argue that if you put it to the back it will mess up the paintwork as you scrabble around to find the end.

My all-male householders don t even know where the rolls are kept.

PC, I can live with the toilet seat issue. I just can't be doing with changing the loo roll over every time I visit the little room. Flicking a toilet seat down, takes about a second, changing the loo roll, takes about 15 seconds. This is a serious time management ishooo.

I agree loo roll hangs down the back.

On a slightly different note how can i stop my DH not leaving a piece hanging down so i don't have to hunt for the end in the middle of the night (am 30wks pg).

I was going to start a thread the other day about which way the loo roll should hang lol. It should, of course, hang to the front, everyone knows that. To hang it to the back is just wrong, wrong, wrong.

A very good friend of mine, with impeccable taste in everything else, hangs her loo roll back to front and I shudder each time I use her facilities.

PS Why don't men use loo roll each time?
