I need easy ways to make life easier and help me get my life in order in all areas

Tonight have have used a garlic press with an UNPEELED love of garlic as recommended by Jamie Oliver. Genius.
Give me yours that don’t involve needing stuff I don’t have but help make stuff a bit easier or cheaper?

Never leave a room empty handed. There is always something to put away in another room/upstairs.

Yes so true. I never go upstairs empty handed but this can be added!

1. Empty spray bottle.
   

1/3 your fabric softener 2/3 water. You can amend it depending on how strong you fabric softener is.
Use in on sofas, clothes, beding, even carpets. Best thing is? When you just want to refresh something, it will smell same like your washed clothesso no smell fights.
Costs pennies compare to Fabreze.

1. Make sure you have vinegar at home. White vinegar. Cleans so many stains, you could never wash off with normal products. Also gets rid of lime scale. Put about 5 litres into washing machine and turn on to highest temperature.
   

Boil kettle with mix of vinegar and water (have a window open tho)

1. Used tea bags and coffee. Wet it and polish darker wood with it. Smells lovely and polishes wood well.
   

4.bathroom tiles. The grout and silicone specifically. Just pour toilet bleach in there qll over and leave it for few hours. Test on tiny are so you know it won't affect the tiles. Go from by the ceiling. Then just shower 😁 Best is to just simply change silicone around for a proper vinegar based stuff

I made boiled egg sandwiches today and had boiled 6 eggs. I was dreading the mess and time taken to mash them with a fork (I’m seriously hating cooking atm and my 2 ASD dds are really becoming more rigid with food, which is really cementing my hate for cooking).

ANYWAY. I put the eggs through a potato ricer - it was amazing, quick and strangely fun!

Frozen onions & garlic. I had always scoffed at them but they make cooking so much easier. If it's a mince based dish you can get everything started so quickly! Also brilliant for curry, casseroles etc

Wet cleaning wipes in EVERY room. So easy to use. See a spot? Wipe it. Bit of dust? Wipe it.

Oh. And "The mess drawer" or box. It's a drawer for things which kind of don't have aspace. That odd things which get left on surfaces, because no one is actually sure where to put them.
Also mail box. I put all the mail into a box and once a month go through it. As a foreigner I have to keep letters natives don't have to. So once a month I sort them and put them in folders.
Have storage everywhere. I got coffee table with drawers. One is for mess, one for scissors and stuff, one fot that another for that that. Helpskeep "clutter" in place.

Don't iron anything. Other than for a job interview, neither my partner or I have in years (we just hang the clothes up and it seems to get the creases out) - the clothes seem to look fine and I'm now convinced ironing is a massive waste of time! The only problem with this approach is that we have to maintain a fiction of ironing for my MIL, a lady who irons socks.

I chop and freeze all herbs, garlig, ginger etc fir easy use. It's like fresh when use, so I second freezing things.

I don’t think it’s time saving not to peel garlic. Peeling garlic is super easy if you slightly flatten with a knife, and cleaning the mush out of my garlic press if I leave the skin on is worse!

Fold and store clothes vertically (like books on a bookshelf) instead of stacked horizontally. That way you can see everything you have at a glance.

Use tumble dryer sheets to dust.

Baking powder and bleach mixed are brilliant for cleaning mould on tiles. Leave paste for 30 mins and rinse!

Take a bin bag round your house once a week to get rid of anything that's broken/rubbish.
Use an eco cloth on mirrors and glass instead of mr muscle

I've recently put all of DD's outfits into zip lock freezer bags. In the morning DH just has to grab a bag and it's a whole outfit. It's changed my world...not really, but it makes sure DD looks great and saves time for him in the mornings. Win!

We don't iron except weddings, funerals and job interviews. Take out of washing machine, shake, hang. Fold when dry.

Baking soda is amazing for cleaning grease.

I hang out the washing in order of age ranging oldest to youngest. Dp tops and bottoms, myself tops and bottoms, ds etc, dd1 etc, dd2 etc. Fold it up as I go along and leave individual piles for everyone to take upstairs whereitwillbedumpedin thefirstdraweranyway

Put the roll of bun bags into the bin, take first bag into bin attached to roll then when full rip off roll take to wheelie bin and next bin bag ready !

Buy 1 plastic box per family member, dry washing gets sorted into box per person, each family member does their own putting away.. Works on children of 6+

When making brownies, turn the pan upside down. Take a sheet of aluminum foil and shape it over the form of the pan, folding it at the corners. Turn the brownie pan right side up and gently push the formed foil into the pan.

When the brownies are done just lift them out of the pan by the edges of the foil. When they're cool (I pop them into the freezer for an hour) just peel the foil off and cut them. The pan will be spotless.

Put a bin by the front door. Any post that arrives, open it by the bin, or drop it straight in. That way paper clutter doesn’t seep into your house to organise later.

Get a short tension rod from b and q and put it in the cupboard under the sink. Hang your sprays off it. Frees up so much space.
