I have had it with the heat! I miss the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness! Anyone fancy an Autumn chat? Grin

I'm already on the scout for autumn boots on ASOS but so far, a limited range. A September shopping spree of cardigans and boots is definitely on the agenda.

I love Autumn. I think I’m not made for heat. I like scarves and cool air and candles. And darker nights. Grin

I often say I'd be happy with a year-round Autumn. Nice and cool, beautiful colours, bliss! I'm a passionate heat-hater at the best of times, and this summer has been awful so far. I understand I'm at odds with most of my loved ones on this, as it's relatively commonly accepted that sun and heat are the preferred conditions for most people, but for me, I'm desperate for those misty mornings and rainy days to come back. Can't wait to get the wellies on!

And darker nights.

Ohh, forgot that particular joy of Autumn! I often do 7am-7:30pm shifts, and again I understand why most of my colleagues prefer the summer, where they arrives for work and leave again in the light. For me, arriving in the dark and leaving in the dark is bliss, especially when I'm not already overheating before I've even got on to the wards!

Oh I can't wait till Autumn, Winter isn't favourite season. I really don't do well in the heat.
What gets me is people call me a misery for not liking Summer. I'm not a misery, just prefer cooler weather. Everyone's different.

Winter IS my favourite season that should have read 😂

Been feeling like this too. Love Autumn and the spring. I'm looking forward to a bit of fresher air after this heat.

Not keen on Winter especially the bit after Christmas and the run up to Christmas. Especially in Bath with the Christmas market, it gets hectic and hard to get anywhere.

band I've been updating my Autumn Pinterest board too! Blush Somehow it helps to cool me down. Grin

I can't wait to get my wellies on and take DD out to experience her first Autumn. She absolutely loves being outdoors and I think she will be fascinated by all the colours. At the moment I'm spending most of my time hiding in the shade/sitting in front of a fan with her! It's hard trying to keep a baby cool and I'm longing for that lovely misty, crisp, smokey air feeling to return so we can embark on some autumn adventures together!

Oh, Strictly, autumn colours, cool, crisp days and snuggled up on the sofa long evenings. I cant wait...although I also loathe January and February. Great post op.

I can't wait for Autumn, I've bought new boots, jeans and jumpers in the sales, I'm planning out Christmas gifts and Hallowe'en parties and I've got all my slow cooker recipes ready to go. Summer is such an uncomfortable time it really makes me feel under scrutiny, if that makes sense. Autumn and Winter are quieter and my mood is more settled and happy.

Kathulu YES that’s exactly how I feel! I’m so much more calm and settled once September rolls round, I can’t explain why, I just am.

When I was having DD I had acupuncture, and the acupuncturist told me that people are generally either ‘heat’ people, who tend to thrive in hot weather, summer, light etc or the opposite (can’t remember the term she used!) but basically people who need to hunker down, feel cosy, wrap up and embrace the cold and dark weather. It’s a bit woo but it made sense to me!

My people! I too can’t wait for autumn. This heat is intolerable unless you are by the sea. Trying to go about day to day life when it’s this hot is awful. I can wait for darker evenings, cooler weather, beautiful colours, thick cardigans, autumn woodland walks, dewey spiderwebs, conckers, evenings under a blanket and planning for Christmas.
I’m currently sat on a boiling bus in London slowly loosing ten will to live.

Does any one get nostalgic when September rolls around, in terms of the new school year? Suddenly stocking u p on new stationary seems natural.

Oh I love early autumn! It’s just lovely. Might be my favourite season. Makes me homesick though, as the scenery in built up SE England doesn’t seem to change much with the seasons. I want brisk, autumnal walks along the coast and lunch at a restaurant by the sea Sad.

I love Autumn, particularly the start of Autumn, when the days are still bright but the nights are getting a bit darker and the weather is cooler but not yet cold.

I love autumn, I'm always disappointed when September rocks up and there's no 'smell' of it on its way and only deigns to arrive in October then promptly pisses it down for the next 6 months.

I want a dry cool crisp autumn please!

Autumn with a good swedish noir novel and hot drink Smile

Autumn and Spring are my seasons. I don't mind summer but hate high heat. I detest the winter post Xmas, but live for cinnamon spiced drinks.
