I had a very vivid but incredibly dull dream where my cousin and her husband came to our house and I was showing them round. She’s not someone I normally see but have no issues with, and we’re currently on holiday so not even at home.

How dull is that?!

@thenewaveragebear1983
Have you recently come out of a bit of a tubulent/complicated time? Because although dull, your dream says to me you've reached a stage where you actually feel at peace with your situation and are feeling confident enough to let people "in", a state where you're happy with what youve managed to achieve and feeling better about your place in society.

Ooooh that’s interesting. Not particularly turbulent in real terms, but I had a lot to think about last week about my future and returning to work. Maybe it stirred up some stuff?!

I have a reoccurring dream, it's very weird.

I dream I am desperate for the toilet and search everywhere for one. However, the only ones I can find aren't private and I end up having to go in front of an audience.

Nobody else in the dream finds it remotely weird but it makes me feel really uncomfortable and on show.

Did you reach a decision about returning to work? Does it sit right with you? If so the dream is an expression of contentment as I said above. If deep down it doesnt sit right, it is probably an expression of your attachment to the home, welcoming people into your "safe haven" but not leaving it...

I was trying to make Kim from Eastenders a caramel fruit cake but Idris Elba had put a load of raspberry leaves in my caramel pan. He then invited everyone back to my old flat which had no electricity, and the Nintendo (90s style) was a listening device for the KGB. I was not impressed.

@ProseccoMadeMeDoIt
Totally normal kind of dream. You feel insecure, self conscious and awkward, but your rational mind knows that nobody else is worrying about how you act as much as you are 😊

I had a dream that I gave birth to quads whilst being interrogated by the KBG.

@vampirethriller
You feel a need to shake things up, youre feeling that life is getting a bit pedestrian and wondering whats next (a cake that gets jazzed up, a flat without electricity has life brought into it). You also feel judged in what you're currently doing in life (kgb).

I had some odd dreams last night. A friends grandmother died, and it turned out that her grandson was my ex, who I was back together with (and utterly miserable again!). I also dreamed that I was part of an organization in a seaside town holding lots of events to help rejuvenate it, and became friends with this woman when her car got covered up by the tide and we went for dinner waiting for it to recede. And Prince William was my cousin, though I’d never met him. And I went into a cafe and Jay from the Inbetweeners was there.

I have no idea what that was about! I have a very vivid imagination.

I dreamt my Mum moved house, a huge house, very old, lots of rooms. I was exploring whilst also looking after 4 or 5 children, not my own but sort of teacher like (used to be a primary teacher IRL and have primary aged kids). I opened one room to find steps to a very dark and oppressive attic space which immediately terrified me. I closed the door and went to ask Mum about it. It turned out she had not seen the door and was unaware of the space. Then we found a missing child in there. I was worried it would have been dark, but she said it was ok apart from the little girl who spoke to her. This little girl came up to her and said "torch it" in a deep voice.
That was too much for me and I woke myself up!!

I have recently been reading about the trial of the two men who set a house on fire and tragically killed 4 children, I think this may have something to do with them.

Oo. I do feel judged. (4 months pregnant and single and everyone and their dog has an opinion!)
I've got to tell my very catholic mother soon. That'll shake things up alright!
ThanksSmile

prosecco I very often have 'toilet' dreams where I'm desperate to go but there's always a reason I can't (people around, toilet is dirty/blocked etc) and so I never get to go, but they always coincide with me needing to go in real life. I just don't wake myself up!

I'm not looking forward to the day I find a suitable toilet in my dream and do manage to go... Confused

I dream regularly I 'have' to move back into our old house l and live there, which I don't want to do. When I get there's it's not a bad (small) as I remember and it's got nice furniture but I still have an overriding sense of sadness.

I dreamt the other day that my DH told me he was having affairs with pretty much every man we know. I don’t think my DH is gay in the slightest, but it was one of those dreams where everything else is really realistic (we were in our lounge with our kids around) - I was having an afternoon nap and when I woke up it took me hours to shift the feeling of something awful having happened!

I have two reoccurring dreams.

First one, I always dream that my teeth break/fall out or sometimes that I have a mouth full of chewing gum that I can’t spit out because it’s attached to me like my tongue Confused

Second one, haven’t had one of these for a while but I always used to dream about plane crashes. I wasn’t on the plane, no one I knew was on the plane, I would just witness a plane crashing close by into a mountain Confused

I like this thread. I dreamed I was living in a bungalow. 1 of my neighbours was shouty at another neighbour over their bins and made her cry. I went out and told him that he was a bully and he walks off. I then stand and watch while she decides to get her own back and cuts off his electricity.

Oooh I dreamt the other day that while I was in our village shop I became aware that the room above was on fire. I was trying to get all the old ladies to evacuate but they just wanted to get their shopping first. The shop keeper wasn't that bothered about phoning the fire brigade, so I did it.

When I called 999 they said that the firemen were on a training day so couldn't come but not to worry as houses take ages to burn. I kept trying to explain that the shop has a thatched roof. I remember frantically calling other services and spoke with a very sympathetic but entirely useless woman from the police.....

Dh always says I remember a ridiculous amount of my dreams,he only ever has a vague memory of part of his dreams....

I'm a newly qualified nurse and I'm working on a new ward one day this week for extra hours. I had a placement there when I was a student so I know most of the staff. Last night I dreamt that it was the morning of that shift and I was in handover but we didn't have a nurse handing over to us, so the nurse in charge had us read from the handover sheet outloud in turns. She went first and read out one patient then she asked me to read the next one. I started reading it out but got all flustered and none of the stuff on the handover made any sense. The words didn't add up right.

Perhaps me being nervous for the shift and thinking about a new routine and it's not the speciality I've been working in since I qualified so my knowledge in the field is limited?
