X-box one?

My dd is 12 and has a ps3. You can no longer buy games for this and really she only uses it for Minecraft. Her friend has an Xbox 1 and she has often commented that she would like to play online with him.

Struggling with present ideas and thinking could invest in Xbox one. But they are still £££ and am a bit worried that they will go the way of ps3 now the one X is out. That is def too expensive.

Do you think they are likely to be shelved soon?

No, absolutely not. Xbox one has a lot of years left.

PS3 was released in 2006 and X-box one in 2013 to put into context OP

I think actually the PS4 was released at the same time as X box one to rival it so definitely not.

You can buy fairly cheap 2nd hand Xbox ones now, a lot will be selling on the run up to Christmas as they’ll be receiving the new version.

Absolutely not! They were released very recently in comparison to PS3. A lot of Xbox 360 games are compatible with the Xbox one as well so well worth the money imo.

The Xbox 1 X is just a souped up Xbox 1 (like the PS4 Pro is for PS4) rather than being the next generation of console (like ps3 vs ps4, or Xbox 360 vs Xbox 1).
Plenty of life left in it yet.

My Dd has xbox one as her main present this year too. Then will have xbox live for a year for her birthday. I don't see it going anywhere yet.
Ds (age 23) only just got the xbox one and still has and uses his XBOX 360 occasionally.

I got an Xbox 1 for our DS last year. I got it second hand off eBay. It had it's box and loads of extra games that he didn't use/not appropriate but managed to resell them and got a load of money back. We have Xbox gold at £3.99 a month which means they can play with their friends. Our daughter also loves Sims and plays for ages with that.
