I love spice/heat and I love king prawns. Will a biryani cut it?

Lalalalallala Tue 31-Oct-17 17:06:36

It’s over a few meals/not just for me so excuse the greed! Anything to add/remove/substitute? Normally go for a balti or madras but am a biryani virgin

Sandsunsea Tue 31-Oct-17 17:06:53

No, you need a South Indian garlic chilli masala. With a garlic naan and pilau rice.

expatinscotland Tue 31-Oct-17 17:07:36

Onion bhaji, veggie samosas, tarka dahl, veggie madras, garlic naan, rice.

FoofFighter Tue 31-Oct-17 17:08:30

No biryani won’t cut it heat wise

I like a meata chilli but only one takeaway does it so it might be a more regional dish

Sandsunsea Tue 31-Oct-17 17:09:52

King prawn biryani is no better than a kedgeree!

lastnamefirstfirstnamelast Tue 31-Oct-17 17:16:47

Mine is normally poppadoms, chutneys, tandoori mixed grill and a madras xx

PandorasXbox Tue 31-Oct-17 17:19:35

YABU not ordering Peshwari naan grin

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo Tue 31-Oct-17 17:44:56

You need dahl! smile

SnowBallsAreHere Tue 31-Oct-17 17:45:04

I’m just doing the same with our just eat voucher grin
Prawn puri (little prawn are nicer for this dish than king prawns)
Peshwari naan
And I haven’t decided on my main but will probably be something Kashmiri

I love a saag or dahl.

I get a biriyani regularly.

Sadly you can't guarantee heat, but mine regularly turn up hotter than DHs madras/other medium curries.. seems to depend on chef/night i order.

Could you call and ask for extra heat or put it in the special instructions/request box. I regularly ask for no mushrooms in mine in that box and it's written on the carton.

P.s, I'm starving now and really fancy a good biriyani. thlgrin

I live in France and I have not had a decent Indian for years. This thread makes me feel like crying.

Is everyone using that Just Eat voucher? We'll be doing that once DC are in bed. You lot had better not eat all the delicious curry in the meantime! shakes fist

PuntasticUsername Tue 31-Oct-17 17:55:57

Shit that should have been in italic not underlined.

It's because I am SO IN NEED OF CURRY.

FoofFighter Tue 31-Oct-17 20:37:31

just eat voucher you say?

PinkSnowAndStars Tue 31-Oct-17 21:01:56

Someone needs to tell me about this just eat voucher

DailyMailReadersAreThick Tue 31-Oct-17 21:10:41

I got a Just Eat email today saying "We've noticed you love an order from [Local Indian takeaway]" blush

I like spicy. I usually go for vegetable madras, pilau rice, and a side of brinjal bhaji. A naan or puri if I'm particularly hungry. and probably poppadums too

Sienna333 Tue 31-Oct-17 21:36:25

Poppadoms, vegetable samosas and a garlic or pilau rice with a chicken madras for me
