Had one where I was with two friends having breakfast and coffees ... they kept asking friends if they wanted another drink and ignored me every single time.

there's been worse and places I would never go back to.

Not to me but my parents. They went out for dinner with a big group. Waitress brought half the meals then nothing.

Cue lots of 'please start or it will get cold' and ' oh no we will wait until your meal arrives'

Still nothing. Eventually Dad went to inquire and the waitress had quit!

Soho House
Constantly pouring too much wine into our glasses
Multiple staff hassling us under the guise of being solicitous
Telling us how long we could have the table for then moving us to another table way before our allotted time had expired
Mediocre overpriced food
I could go on....

It was a really hot night and it was chilled white wine What and it was blatantly to get us to order another bottle ASAP. I can’t abide a naice expensive wine being poured to a half pint measure.

Not a terrible one but it annoyed me. Friend and I went to a cafe and ordered teas and a cake each. I poured my tea and added the milk. The milk floated. I very quietly asked the waitress if she could please get me a fresh one as the milk had turned (as a waitress myself I didn't want to kick up a fuss as it was an honest mistake). The waitress got all shirty and said loudly that there was "nowt wrong with it. It's cos it's cream!" I told her that cream doesn't float in bits and even if it is cream, I ordered and received TEA, not coffee! She still refused to replace it. I had to complain to her manager. The waitress slammed the new tea down. Wtf? We just left. Some people shouldn't work in customer facing roles.

Anniversary meal with dh. V rare night out since having dc. Two couples at next table were steaming drunk (this was at start of evening so about 7pm and they hadn't ordered yet). They were rowing loudly. One man went upstairs onto balcony for a fag, then fell down the metal spiral staircase. His gf was hysterical. Then he vomited on the floor.

I will glue a cheap Pinot Grigio with the best of ‘em when the occasion demands but when it’s stupidly expensive wine and I haven’t had a sip since the last top up then I get the RAGE

I ate at a restaurant a few years ago in America, the service was crap and my food came out cold and had to be sent back (serious attitude from the waitress for that).

Didn't think any more of it until I was watching Ramsey's kitchen nightmares a while later. The kitchen in the show was rancid, there's were dead rodents under the stove and rotting crabs in the fridge. Realised that it was the same place as I'd had crap service, and when I googled when it was filmed, I found it was 6 months after I'd eaten there 😩

I was bit miffed when the waitress in Harvester wanted to order me another lemonade instead of the juice I ordered because it was 'easier'.

I was only about 12 and I just looked at her like this Confused and said 'I'd like juice please'.

Out at a lovely Italian with then-boyfriend. We ordered. Sat chatted, drank a lovely glass of wine whilst waiting.

Huge crash from the kitchen followed by more and more crashes. The shelving units holding all the plates/bowls had collapsed. All smashed on the floor. Lots of swearing from staff. Waiting staff all running into kitchen. Next 20 mins was chaos.

Our food was served an hour later on paper plates and the kitchen staff were heard to be sweeping up and putting plate fragments into boxes and bin liners whilst we ate.

Credit to them that they kept serving.

We've had a couple of... interesting experiences. One was when we went to a restaurant in our town, ordered drinks.... and they took forever to arrive. Never did, actually, as we left after twenty minutes or so. A waiter chased after us, but we'd made up our minds. It stayed open for a good long time afterwards, but it's closed now.
Another time we went to a Lebanese place in a different part of town. The food took forever to arrive... Whilst we were waiting, a woman began belly-dancing between the tables. The tables were packed rather closely together as well. At one point she was dancing with a sword balanced on her head. It was a rather odd experience. The food did show up (after about an hour, I think) and was quite nice. If a table cheers when their food arrives, that is never a good sign.
Said restaurant didn't last too long. There've been around four restaurants in that slot that I remember, currently it's an Argentinian steak place.

We went to a new local restaurant.

We sat for ages before anyone gave us menus and then sat for another eternity before anyone came back and took our order.

We then (like fools) waited for another ridiculous amount of time, but we thought 'they're new, it's busy, we're not in a hurry' etc

The waiter finally reappeared and instead of bringing our food or even our drinks, he said 'will there be anything else or would you like the bill?'

We had been there for well over 2 hours without a morsel of food or drink! Grin

I went to pizza express with DH and after our starter we had been sat waiting for 40 minutes when the waiter came over, apologised for the wait and said the chef had forgotten our order and would be ready in 3-5 minutes. We waited 45 minutes in total between starter and main when it took just 4 minutes to cook!! The restaurant wasn't even busy!

I got a massively overdone (but cold) steak and quietly mentioned it to the waiter so he could hopefully bring me another. "You'll have to wait" he said ... yes I realise that I replied ... "you really will have to wait, I can't do this now, you'll have to WAIT, do you understand you'll have to WAIT!!" came the reply Confused

Worse still, though, the lady opposite was hearing impaired and clearly fed up of having to repeat himself he started mocking her behind her back (but still in full view of the rest of us)

This was on Cunard's Queen Elizabeth

Went for a day out with family and decided to eat in the cafe/ restaurant

We ordered the meals. Kidd meals were brought out all looked ok. Wasn't that hot but least hey meant they could eat without waiting ages to cool down.

We waited and waited and kids were on desert befire our meals arrived.

I'd ordered a risotto that arrived on a massive plate but was smeared so thin it was already cold. Itbwas so creamy and gloopy it made me feel sick amd i lnow rice is supposed to be al dente however I was picking it out of my teeth. Under seasoned undercooked cold green and sickly.

Thankfully they knocked a load off the bill but for 1e quid you'd expect a risotto to not be fucked up. It's rice ffs.

I waited forty-five minutes for my food and when it eventually came it was wrong! The waiter completely blanked us every time we tried to catch him!
