The Kiboomers

Baby Bumblebee

I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee,
Won't my mommy be so proud of me,
(Cup hands together as if holding bee)

I'm bringing home a baby bumblebee,
Ouch! It stung me!
(Shake hands as if just stung)

I'm squishing up the baby bumblebee,
Won't my mommy be so proud of me,
('Squish' bee between palms of hands)

I'm squishing up a baby bumblebee,
Find more lyrics at ※ Mojim.com
Ooh! It's yucky!
(Open up hands to look at 'mess')

I'm wiping off the baby bumblebee,
Won't my mommy be so proud of me,
(Wipe hands off on shirt)

I'm wiping off the baby bumblebee,
Now my mommy won't be mad at me!
(Hold hands up)

IANBU this is surely not an example to set to children to whom do I address my complaint?

YANBU!!!

Everyone knows that they "lick up" the baby bumble bee (and are disgusted that there is no salt!).

Sorry if I'm being thick, but eh?!

It's kind of funny.

Why do you want to complain?

I'm guessing you didn't approve of Humpty Dumpty either.

You'd be horrified at the versions where they lick up the baby bumblebee and then sick up the baby bumblebee

humpty dumpty isn't out in back gardens and parks minding its own business until someone's toddler comes along and squishes it like in the song Angry

Ahh that takes me back! We used to sing that at Brownies.

Aw I love this! We used on sing it with the Cubs, definitely need to eat the bumblebee for maximum gross factor though!

Kids LOVE gross songs like that btw so YABVU

IHeartKingThistle · 20/08/2017 21:11

We sang that at Brownies in the '80s!

That was before we knew bees were important and endangered and should not be squished. Just make sure your DC know never to squish one!

it's not gross it's bloody barbaric!

I'm surprised this doesn't encourage kids to try to catch bees with their hands.

Poor bees Sad

Calm down op.

Just teach your children not to squash bees, wind bobbins, row a boat down a stream, walk through a jungle or anything else potentially dangerous that may be in a children's song.
