Bad telly!

I'm at home sick, in my mum's house. Watching a bit of telly. Can't believe how bad it is...
We don't have a TV, tbh I've never been a telly watcher. My last favourite show was SATC.
I do like a bit of bubblegum for the brain, gossip mags, online forums, trashy novels & so on...
But I can't believe how bad the telly is. This Morning, Loose Women. Everything else! And the ads...
I enjoyed Alison Hammond, but she's the only bit of personality I've seen so far. It's all so vapid.
Has TV got worse, or has it always been this shite? DH does Netflix on the computer, for his shows.

Well, first of all if you watch ITV then moan, it's like looking at a cow pat and wondering why it looks like a big pile of shit Wink.

Daytime to has always been quite shit, though I do unashamedly like Homes Under The Hammer (gives me unrealistic delusions of being a property developer, along with my addiction to Zoopla). Netflix is great though, actually streaming in general is a fantastic invention. I'm so glad catch-up is now freely available, so can watch programmes I've missed when the toddler is asleep (Game of Thrones is not really his thing at the moment).

I can't stand ITV daytime. They should just show us videos of monkeys riding bikes or something and have done with it.

Is it just ITV? I like a bit of Come Dine With Me. Just watched the end of Kardashians... Think I'm over Friends re-runs. But I've found some food ancient TV. Tales of The Unexpected. Loved that when I was kid... Loads of channels here. Gonna look for a nice movie!

Wish tales of the unexpected was on. I'm on maternity leave and weeks of daytime TV has melted my brain!

Daytime tv has always been shit though. Even 20 years ago it was all pebble mill and game shows.

True that, gamer. It hasn't changed really since I last tuned in 20 years ago...

Loose women is an abomination they need to stop showing it. I like a bit of e4 or more 4 for CDWM or 4 ina bed. I usually have this morning chattering away in the background though

Pebble Mill was bizarre. Like children's show but for pensioners Confused Now boys and girls....here's a folk singer.

If you think loose women is bad, you should see the late night naked dating show Grin

I only see tv when I'm on nightshift and I do not miss it at all.

Watching a bit of MTV now. What's up with Harry Styles' new vid, where he's flying? It's terrible!

I had to spend a lot of time on my backside in 2015 as I had both knees replaced (literally one after the other).
There is some decent TV on during the daytime but you need to be prepared and invest 60p (or thereabouts) on a good listings mag and spend a bit of time seeing whats available, or what appeals to you.

Also, I've just noticed that TV folk have got a top set of veneers but not a bottom... Christine Bleakley & Alex Jones. Holly W has nice teeth!

Yes its difficult to spot anyone on telly who doesn't have those creepy big veneers. I blame that Ryland guy.

I think Homes under the Hammer is good if you watch it once in a while!
Frasier used to be on Channel 4 and is a reliable good watch imo.

I have come to the conclusion there is rarely anything on that I want to watch at the time I want to watch it, and always watch TV on 'Catch up'. Does your Mum not have that? Usually something to be found on i-Player, whatever your leanings.

The Wright Stuff is okay if they have decent guests. I loved Frasier.
