Urgent urgent help needed. Bathroom door has locked itself.

It's not a key lock, it's one of those where you turn a knob on the inside. It has somehow locked itself. I was polishing the door handles earlier (never again am I cleaning).
I've already pee-d on myself as I left it until the ads of a film to go to the toilet.
It's also the time of the month where you need access to a bathroom.
Please help me?

From the outside, it looks like an allan (?) key might turn something in it but I don't possess one.

I have a screwdriver. Would removing the door handle this side be of any help to me?

if you remove the door knob you should be able to open it, but most have a slot on the outside that allows you to unlock - if yours doesn't then get it changed once you regain access!!

Is there a hole in the door knob on the outside?

Is there a little hole in the handle on outside? You need to find something long and thin and shove it in there, I think from memory you will feel it press some kind of mechanism, turn the handle when you press it in.

Disclaimer- this is what worked on our bathroom door in the 90s when my little sister would always lock herself in and refuse to come out.

Can you attach a photo?
My guess would be yes

There's just a handle this side.

You can probably use a knife in the Allen key gap to twist it round. It shouldn't need much force.

No hole in the handle? Small hole?

If all else fails a bucket with car litter in will tide you over til morning.
And I am speaking from bitter experience.

We've got one like that but it isn't an Allan key to open it, more of a thin, long screwdriver driver. I've used other things before as well such as a metal skewer.

Try sliding a pallet knife or similar down the side of the door - pushing to the side when you hit the bit that goes into the door frame.

It's hard to tell from the photo but does that black bit have a groove going across its diameter? If so, that's designed for emergency opening from the outside. Use a coin or screwdriver or (not too sharp) knife.

Polish the handles with the door open. Grin

Get a big knife or a screwdriver with a big blade and turn the bit under the handle - there are horizontal slots there - until the lock opens.

Small screwdriver pull the door towards you which will take pressure of lock and will turn easier.

We have a similar doorhandle & when I got locked out, I poked a thin metal skewer in the hole & that released the lock. You could try an unbent paperclip? Good luck!

I'm sure I see a slot on the black bit, you can use a penny to turn the lock from the outside.

You guys are absolute fucking geniuses. The knife in the groove worked.
