AIBU?

To think this quinoa crust and knitted cashew mozzarella vegan pizza should be renamed the mumsnet pizza

This has popped up in my facebook feed, I just instantly thought of MN. It's gluten free, soy free and even palm oil free and seems to fit with the bizarre vegan threads that pop up here. I'm tempted to make it for a difficult family member, lots of comments on facebook saying it's good, but it does feel a bit wrong

I'll stick to Dominos personally but I'm sure it will go down very well with many MNers!

Not sure why the youtube video isn't showing - does facebook show if you paste that in? www.facebook.com/nestandglow/videos/699202683590289/

The crust looks like pancake consistency and the white blobs of mush look absolutely vile. It might taste delicious though Hmm

I was totally on board until I saw that 'cheese' Envy

Anything's better than the soddin' cauliflower rice risotto I made tonight. Dear god it was shite!

On day 12 of the bsd here and I'd eat it in a second (not had my tea yet tonight).

I'm not so hungry that I'd eat cauliflower rice though! I like cauliflower but that stuff is grim.

That monstrosity has no business calling itself a pizza. Bleugh Envy

Meh, I'll stick to my nice vegan pizzas from ASDA, or a Meatless Feast from H&B. Just because we're vegans doesn't mean we knit lentils and drink kale smoothies...

PlayOnWurtz · 23/03/2017 19:12

I'll stick to my dominoes thanks

What "bizarre Vegan threads"?

Am doing the BSD too BarbarianMum. Week 3 for me. Going ok but that mushroom 'risotto' was miserable Hmm

Report
Glossolalia · 23/03/2017 19:37

😷 I think I will stick to Dominoes, too.

Oh my god
I'm a veggie and I like a good lentil stew and tofu product but that is heinous. It's not even hot! Quinoa biscuit, tomato purée and salty nutty slop. Yum.

Do they sell vegan pizzas in Asda, It'sAllGoing? I don't shop there, but I have never seen any in other supermarkets.

Pleas don't mock dietary "choices". I am the least lentil weavy person you can imagine. But my son was born severely allergic (anaphylactic) to all nuts, wheat, milk, eggs, soya, and fish. We don't have a bloody choice but to hunt out vegan gluten-free soya-free recipes.

Twerk I wasn't starting this to mock diets, I just found the home made kitted cheese and base interesting.

There is mounting evidence that a vegan diet is good for the planet and good for us. I couldn't give up cheese, but I do often have vegan days and I'm cutting out red meat.

I hope your son grows out of them Flowers

That looks utterly disgusting, but cheese knitting is hilarious.

Twerk, that must make life tricky Flowers

We're attempting cauliflower crust pizza for the first time tonight 🤔.

I'm not terribly optimistic but at least it will have actual cheese and proper toppings u like that horrific abomination in the video.
