Budget is about £15 - happy to spend a bit more for THE ONE!

I've just broken my One Click Cup - loved it but the design of the seal meant tea would dry in uncleanable places and get really gungey. I was forever poking with a bottle brush.

Bodum travel mug leaked.

Generic brand £5 one was big and fat - worked a treat but didn't fit in cup holders and lid did not come apart to clean.

It needs to fit in a standard cup holder
Really can't tolerate leaking, and I like to tip right up and drink to the bottom
Keep warm for at least 2 hours
Easy clean lid, I need to see all the bits to know it's clean!

Any recommendations?

I've got apex I think, from Costco. Bloody brilliant - have to unlock on the lid then press a button to dispense. Hubby makes me a cuppa at 5.30 before he goes to work which I can still drink just before school tin at 8.30 BUT he puts cold water in it so it's not too hot. I'll go and check what brand mine are.

I love my "I'm not a paper cup" mug. It's ceramic so doesn't have that odd plasticky taste that some travel mugs have. I have mine at work, never goes cold.

I think the avex are rebranded contigos. They're very good and leak proof as far as I can tell.

I have one of these vacuum flasks. Keeps it hot for hours, one handed opening, great for me as I'm out on construction sites or driving all day.

I am in love with my contigo - the other day I made tea in it at 8am and it was still hot at 1. I've also filled it at home, put it in my rucksac, and it didn't leak a bit. Easy to clean as well

I've looked on amazon in case you've not got Costco, they're about 29 quid for the 2.

Contigo. Fantastic.

Thanks Leigh that looks great! Consensus so far is Avex/Contigo. How easy is the lid to clean?

Viv - I actually looked at that one on Amazon but it looks like a flask, not a cup. Can you drink from it through the lid?

Thanks a lot

Contigo vote here, but get the silver one because the coloured metal ones don't go in the dishwasher -the lid does, but not the cup itself.

I have a contigo which is great, keeps the drink almost too hot! On a thread like this someone once suggested a morrisons travel cup that only cost a fiver and worked as well as their contigo mug.

I have the Hiwill one from Amazon too, and yes, you can drink from it, it has a lockable flip spout.

Nespresso Touch travel Mug. It is elegant, doesn't leak, keeps drinks hot for ages and doesn't give your hot drink a funny aftertaste. I have used mine mist days for over a year now (Christmas pressie in 2015) and it looks and functions as well as the first day I tried it.

Another vote for Contigo here - can throw it in a bag upside down and not a drop leaks. Drinks still hot after several hours.

Clementine's advice is spot on - buy the silver. Even without dishwashing the surface of our coloured ones got damaged. We gave up and started putting them in the dishwasher and the coloured finish is slowly wearing off. Still awesome though.

Another vote for nespresso touch mug here, keeps hot drinks for hrs, no leaks, fits in cup holder, stylish.
My husband got one too after trying to pinch mine!

I love my contigo. The lid isn't the easiest to clean but it's worth it.

Yeti are amazing and have an almost cultish following in the states. Keeps tea hit LITERALLY all day. Hubby picked one up in the states when there with work and ordered me one for Christmas! They are pricey though ($29-$39 depending on size) especially with shipping from US. Totally worth it and completely indestructible!

Thanks everyone. I'm sorely tempted by how handsome the Nespresso one is!

But I will go with Contigo this time and if I'm searching for a new cup again in 6 months then I shall get that one!

Thanks everyone!
