I've just bought the festive radio times. Got it home and realised it doesn't actually cover the new year!!!! ShockShock AIBU to assume the two week special would cover the whole festive period?

Yanbu that's an outrage!

Is it from last Saturday to next Friday?

It always used to!

It's tradition to have the RT at Christmas in our house but went for Heat this year as the rest of the RT magazine is usually shite! Least I can read some 'sleb trash too!!

I had the same reaction when I realised! It's because it covers 2 weeks and starts on a Saturday , so ends on a Friday. And New Year's Day is a Sunday, so it gets missed off the end.

Yes it started on the 17th! The 17th of Dec is not a festive day.

Can't believe I've paid so much for 7.5 days of listings. Bah humbug Wink

It is an outrage!

I went looking for the New Year one today and no bugger had it. I need to have it for ds as it's part of his Christmas routine.

Not only that, but I bought my DM a copy and Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day are completely missing. I'll never spend £4.50 on a RT again. (I actually spent £9 because I bought one too. Mine is complete-well it still doesn't include NYE/D, but you know what I mean!)

As my son would say: it's whack.

Slightly panicking now that the vital days will be missing from my copy.

WTF is it so thick when they haven't even included New Years day etc.

This.country is going to the dogs.

£4 fucking.50?!! We buy the Mirror on Saturday, just for the tv pages...still have to buy another on the 30th but it was cheaper and we get a good crossword Xmas Grin

I know ........ I was fuming - never even looked until my friend told me - £4.50 is disgusting - I tweeted them to say I was annoyed and I didn't get a reply. I wouldn't have bought it if I'd known - would have spent £3.00 on TV Times instead but they only go to 30th Dec too Angry

I have only just realised this as well! Cannot bring myself to buy the next one, I have never bought an issue of the Radio Times apart from the Christmas one and I am not about to start now.

£4.50 is a disgrace.
They are cheeky bastards. They are well aware that many people only buy it at Christmas time (as it is a funny comforting xmas thing) so they are totally milking it.
And then not to have New Year listings is a bloody outrage indeed!

DesolateWaist · 23/12/2016 20:12

What the actual fuck? I haven't bought one this year and I'm glad I didn't bother.
