I know I'm not Grin

DS is at school all day for the first time, I'm not picking him up, and I had two appointments in town, three hours apart.

So I've taken a table for one in a nice restaurant where I've just eaten pork shoulder with lentils and had two glasses of wine. I'm debating having a pudding.

After this I'm going to mooch round town and go to the library.

It's really quite nice.

You're living the dream so make sure you have the pudding!

I'm having a creme caramel.

Oh the decadence.

You've ruined it now OP.

A creme caramel is one place below stewed prunes on the Worst Pudding league table.

How dare you squoosh?! Creme caramel is the biz! Gives me nostalgic flashbacks to my mum making it out of the little green packet when I was a kid.

Ooh no I love it.

It was very nice, just the right amount of bitterness from the burnt sugar. I'm going to finish off with another glass of wine before walking it all off around town.

I have those same flashbacks Page, hence the low ranking Grin

Yabu because crème brulee is much nicer and that's what thought you'd put first of all!

Also if I'd had wine I think I'd for a sleep!

Creme brulée on the other hand. I could sit in a bath of that stuff.

Enjoy :)

It's my birthday and I am waiting for my new contract to start next month. I was going to go into town and get my eyebrows threaded, followed by lunch and a glass of wine. All my children are at secondary now and there is no need to drive today. I was too lazy Blush and drove 5 mins down the road KFC Drive Thru. I am now slobbing wathcing Penny Dreadful surrounded by takeout packaging.

I'm so jealous op. My fave think to do.

The one with burnt sugar ks crème brulee!

The part of my post about having a sleep was an alternative suggestion to the library not a criticism.

It was definitely creme caramel, but drizzled in a burnt sugar caramelly sauce and cream.

Huldra, that sounds lovely. I think I'll get my eyebrows threaded next, that's a good idea. But slobbing with Netflix and takeaway is my other idea of heaven.

Oh, and happy birthday!

No sleep, I have still got to go to my second appointment so need to walk off the booze and pretend to be sober as a judge at 3pm.

Don't go getting a Daffy Duck tattoo or anything because you're pissed from all the vino! Grin

Trooperslane · 15/09/2016 13:19

I'm in a flight back up the road.
You've inspired me to have a vino - I'm not driving at the other end so why not!

Fair enough re sleep then. I love a sleep though.

Pork shoulder with lentils sounds lovely, one of my favourites.

My bf eats a lot of crème caramel things that come in yogurt pots. Maybe I should dump him Grin

They're small glasses. They only do small glasses or bottles. I was so tempted to have a bottle but I would've quaffed the lot.

MLGs I love those little pots. They're about 7p each or something mad and they are the bomb.
