It's not even remotely funny unless you're drunk
I haven't laughed once and don't see what the fuss is about.

I love Ant & Dec in everything else, just not this.

IABU aren't I?

I tried. I watched it to the end.
It doesn't seem up to their usual standard.

OH didn't laugh once either. We must be a pair of miserable gits

Or maybe the secret is to watch it blind drunk Confused

I used to love it. This series I am not enjoying at all. the Simon Cowell mystery thing-meh.

Also the Jess Glynne bit at the end tonight reminded me of the end of Morecambe and Wise back in the day. But not as good.

I had to go out and pick DH up half way through and didn't bother Skyplussing in case I missed anything.

Not as funny this series at all.

I just find it too hectic. Ant and Dec, you can't sing so please refrain.

I enjoyed it! First time I've watched all the way through and found myself laughing. The Simon cowell thing is lame but the rest was good fun, I thought.

YY it is too hectic. The format is getting a bit old, much like a lot of ITV primetime. X Factor/BGT etc.

Jess Glynne was bloody dire at the end of the show tonight.

Yanbu. Watched it last week. Getting a bit tired I think.

Sweetie she was awful wasn't she? Either mime or sing-not both. Confused

My six year old loves it, he said he likes it because "Ant and Dick are like Sooty And Sweep but they're human" sums it up really Grin

This series is rubbish i think its run its course I did like the singing game but the end of the show show used to be funny now its just singers promoting their new album meh

I do think Ant and Dec may have reached their peak. Sad as it is but they are getting a bit irritating IMO.

MrsJayy · 05/03/2016 23:25

Aye they are which is a shame

ridemesideways · 05/03/2016 23:25

It's getting tedious. They're in their 40s and the voiceover still refers to them as 'the boys'.

Dec's had a hair transplant but what are they going to do when they're in their 50s? 60s?

Sparklingbrook · 05/03/2016 23:36

It is a shame I love them, and what they have achieved is brilliant, but all good things come to an end as they say.

I think they are our generation's Morecambe and Wise. And they were loved and adored for about 40 years.

Mind you, how long have Ant and Dec been around????

Trust me, though, there will be documentaries about how great they were (with lots of clips) once they are gone!

Sparklingbrook · 05/03/2016 23:47

I never thought Morecambe and Wise were very funny (don't tell my Dad!) but the end of the show bit reminded me of when Eric used to arrive at the end with his coat and cap on to find Ernie singing.

Felt like a lot of space filling last night, not as punchy or amusing

I have gone right off them in recent years, it all seems so scripted now. I used to love everything they did, and as a teen they occupied the premium poster spots on my bedroom wall. It's a shame.

I didn't find them that funny either Sparkling....but I think we always felt like we had to, I definitely think though that Ant and Dec sometimes copy their act slightly.

Well, I still bloody love Saturday Night Takeaway and so glad it's still on telly.
It's the one thing that we can all sit down and watch together, regardless of age and it's all completely appropriate.
Perfect, light entertainment everyone can enjoy, and if that's not your thing, change the channel or use that invention called the off button.

They have been about since 89 or something i was a bit old for byker grove but watched it Blush i bought their autobiography at the airport the other year god it was so dull. Have they fallen out with Ashleigh Roberts she is hardly there now we have creepy Stephen Mulhern doing Ant vs Dec

Report
Sparklingbrook · 06/03/2016 10:39

Yes the autobiography was really meh.

My Dad used to cry laughing at Eric and Ernie Inis. I never understood.

As for SNT luckily there's The Voice on BBC1 at the moment. Much easier viewing.

MrsJayy · 06/03/2016 10:42

DH still laughs at SNT im just not feeling it never mind BGT is on soon i love that
