AIBU?

To be upset that I just shat myself?

I've got a stomach bug and thought I needed to fart. I didn't. My partner thinks I'm silly for being upset. Aibu to feel a bit sad that my untarnished record of not crapping myself since I was a kid has been broken? And my favorite knickers are shitty.

Everyone knows when you have a bug never risk a fart! So yabu to have risked a fart with a dodgy stomach, it a like Russian roulette.

Yanbu. Gross to shit yourself. And grosser to discuss it with your partner.

Christ knows usual. Grim. Thought it would be a first time poster. Odd to find its not.

You are not the first person to have experienced this. You will not be the last. There are better records to aim for than ones that involve not shitting yourself.

Never risk a fart when you have a stomach bug-school boy error OP.
Out of interest, why the fuck did you need to tell your partner? Some things really are best not shared Hmm

YANBU I was in the same situation travelling to Yorkshire from Glasgow. I followed through at Gretna Green and had to drive all the way home sat in it. Thank goodness for leather seats

Ofc yabu to share this information, how odd and strange

Otoh at least folk like you post in AIBU only and don't contaminate the rest of MN with your brain oozings.

I'd rather share on the Internet than have my friends know. I would have quite liked for my partner to not have found out but he was right there. I guess risking it was a rookie error.

Really not necessary at all.

Not funny or interesting and I don't see why you want to get the opinion of others on this matter.

Are you 12? Actually that's unfair to 12 year olds
Quick take a pic and share it on facebook
Totes hilaire and all that

CockwombleJeff · 08/02/2016 21:06

But why share AT ALL??

Not everything that happens to you , or passes through your mind has to be shared.

OP, as a person who suffers from a type of bowel condition I give you so much sympathy,
I also understand why you would want to share it on a nnonymous forum.
Sometimes you have to share these things to make light of the situation and stop yourself from feeling so wretched! Thanks

Well all you've got to show for it now is a arse like a Japanese flag, shifty knickers and a random thread on mumsnet. #lifegoals Hmm

The title of this post is pretty self explanatory. If it offends you so much then surely there's no need to click on it?
