you might take care not to park like a twat on the school run every day??

There is one 4x4 with a huge company name on the side in pink that parks on the corner - literally on the corner - every day.

Have reported to school but they have done nothing. It's so dangerous! Complete twattery.

And if I ever wanted to use their company I just wouldn't, because I'd think, if they parked like a twat, what would they be like to work with?

When a branded van/car with a business phone number (or "For Sale" note) parks or drives dangerously, I phone that number and say, "Just to let you know, you drive like a cunt", before hanging up. Endlessly satisfying.

There's one of these at school. Funnily enough when I was looking for somebody with that kind of business, my list stated with anybody but them!

I hate saying this... But call 101, if the car is parked illegally.

In this area we are encouraged to by the a schools police officer.

If people are parking dangerously, they may come out at school run time.

If it's not on school grounds all yes school can do is write a letter to parents asking them to park legally.

Yanbu, I am always shocked how bad people drive in cars with their company name on.

Just to say, when this happened at our school (didn't have a business name) I actually just had a word. He was driving dangerously and nearly hit Me for the second time that week.

Loads of parents had winged so I told him he was driving dangerously and loads of people were moaning and, since we were told to call 101, it was only a matter of time before someone did....or he caused an accident.

He doesn't do it anymore, he was a bit bolshy but nothing I couldn't handle.

I have thought about calling 101, but they just wouldn't get there in the 10-minute window that parents park at school to drop off.

Might ask the school to get the traffic warden to come round and ticket people - but the problem is, every school is the same. There are always those few entitled parents parking like twats. Arses.

Hummus Grin I did that once! There was a van parked like a twat with a number on the back, How's my driving? Rang it but it had been disconnected :(

The only problem with me naming and shaming them is I don't want them to know it was me who did it. I have no idea who they are.

They used to just drive past, around that time, up and down a few times and get out of there was a problem. Or park up.

Tbh just seeing them made people behave better.

And yes most schools have at least a couple of knobbers.

Dds primary school also does

It's not just vehicles with company names either, ones with personalised number plates tend to drive like twats too. Fortunately the number plates make it easy to (a) work out who is driving / parking like a twat (b) remember the number when reporting them.

YANBU. There is a local plumber who I will never give my business to because I've seen his van parked badly so many times at school pick up - on the zigzags, blocking drives, once even blocking the whole road and refusing to move until his child came out. I don't want an arrogant twat like that in my home.

Our weekly school newsletter "names and shames" the bad drivers. by that I mean identifies the registration numbers, not the parents. They take a very firm line on it, and report to the police.

The Parking Cunts at our school are all ordinary cars with standard number plates. Interestingly, all the logoed ones and ones with private number plates are all parked sensibly and not over driveways or on corners or double yellow lines etc.

I so want to go armed ŵith a load of "you park like a cunt" posters to stick on their windscreens.

I've suggested this to our school and given them numbers! But they haven't done it.

I really dislike name and shame in school newsletters, as it not the school's responsibility and their focus is education not parking.

Dangerous parking is a police matter. I get sick of parents moaning about this and yet they never bloody report it to the police. Yes, they may not come there and then but they will turn up over the next few days and start dishing out tickets, it just takes a bit of effort from the community.

We have a very lovely PCSO in our area who attends our school at pick up and drop off every day. She really clamps down on the parking-like-a-twattery and will not hesitate to pull parents up on it in front of everyone if they do park in a dangerous place.

Not many people park on the corners or yellow lines any more Grin

Actually, Lamb The school have a responsibility to ensure the children are save around the school and in their grounds.

So yes, parents parking like a bunch of cunts on the boundary of school property is their problem.

Have reported it to the local police, who weren't interested - too few staff - and have reported to the council to ask the parking enforcement officer to go round. Will see what happens.

In the meantime, I may add a 'you park like a twat' pad to my Xmas list! Grin

Our primary school kids have now made two DVDs about safe parking around the school which went home to every family, and the same entitled twats still park on the double yellows / zigzags / grass verges around the school. Including the parent of the boy who does a lot of presenting in the most recent DVD.

I would tell them and tell them those exact ten minutes as well.

Surely the must obvious thing to do is get in touch with the company concerned?

THey probably own the company - that is why they are so entitled

police do not have the resources

social media is your friend

if they have an FB account, tag them in your daily pictures of their bad parking

It's their company. Googled. Small business.

I have reported to police and council - I wouldn't feel comfortable 'shaming' them on FB - although it is tempting...

Because I am chickenshit, I would probably write an anonymous email (10 minute mail or similar websites can help) addressed to them by name, suggesting that they are endangering children at the school through their daily selfish, thoughtless action. As other parents park safely for the benefit of all DC in the school, including theirs, perhaps they might consider doing likewise?

I get incredibly PA in situations like this but, seriously, do these fuckers not think the law applies to them?
