...leave instant coffee granules in the sugar bowl? They just lay there like mouse turds contaminating the sugar so that us normal tea drinking people can't use it. And how did it get in there? They must have coffeed then sugared, but the coffee must have stuck to the spoon somehow for the sugar to get infected. How did it stick to the spoon? How? I'll tell you how! The spoon was damp!! That's right, a damp spoon transmitted coffee waste and any other bacteria that happened to be living in the stagnant spoon water at the time into the good honest and decent sugar that I wanted to use. These people are evil and must be stopped.

The same low life scumbag that leaves toast crumbs in the butter.

These are the same type of irresponsible individuals that put the milk in first <shudder>.

Worry not! There is a special place in the afterlife/hell reserved for such as these.

I think DS must have moved into your house. Apologies. I thought he'd gone to university. I must have been wrong.

FourEyesGood Sun 11-Oct-15 20:19:47

I used to share your wrath, but then I stopped taking sugar in my tea, and life got so much simpler. My life has been entirely problem-free for the past four years. Entirely.

SilentlyScreamingAgain Sun 11-Oct-15 20:19:55

I imagined mouse turds to be bigger.

Scarletforya Sun 11-Oct-15 20:20:15

Things like this would never happen if people didn't pollute their tea with sugar in the first place!

anythingicando Sun 11-Oct-15 20:20:30

And butter smears in the jam/marmite/honey pot etc.

The same people who dump used tea bags in the sink instead of putting them in the bin.

Room101isWhereIUsedToLive Sun 11-Oct-15 20:21:28

I agree with FourEyes, cut out the sugar from your tea, problem solved!

Drama, I work with somebody who's Mother told her that putting hot teabags into the bin will cause a fire.

thornrose Sun 11-Oct-15 20:24:44

No milk, no sugar, no instant coffee, job done.

Lilliana Sun 11-Oct-15 20:27:01

We have a 'sugar for coffee' pot and a 'sugar for tea' pot at work to resolve this very problem.

DH and I are constantly at war about when the milk goes in. He says first, I say at the end.

DramaAlpaca Sun 11-Oct-15 20:28:46

Tiggy I must ask DH if that's what his mother taught him grin

blibblobblub Sun 11-Oct-15 20:30:13

Drama yes! Why do people do that? Dirty bastards.

TiggyD Sun 11-Oct-15 20:32:46

I agree that butter crumbers are also despicable people. You open up the pot of imitation butter-like oil spread and you're confronted with utter devastation. Crumbs, jam globules, goodness only knows what else. The crumbs might have come off a piece of bread months old for all I know. I have to shovel out the top inch of margarine to get at the seam of untainted. I want pure fat, not a taste of some old woman's muffin.

unlucky83 Sun 11-Oct-15 20:36:22

worse is coffee infected with sugar ...I swear I can taste one granule of sugar in a cup of coffee ...yuk
agree with the crumbs in butter ...I had a flatmate thief who did that -but worse I had stuff in a tub (cos I rarely ate it) and it was either full of crumbs or scraped empty angry
But all that pales into insignificance compared to when I realised he had been using my toothbrush <vom>

Eminybob Sun 11-Oct-15 20:40:24

YABU for putting sugar in tea. Boak.

ChunkyPickle Sun 11-Oct-15 20:41:54

The milk thing is complicated though.

Coffee - I've had people swear the milk should go in first to stop the coffee being scalded. I have experimented, and found no difference, and don't care.

Tea - if from teapot, milk first. If bag in cup, milk last (and after tea-bag has been removed - otherwise you get sour smelling teabags)

Butter in the jam is terrible. Ditto egg in the mayo.

<makes a mental note to never go to Tiggy's house>

reni2 Sun 11-Oct-15 20:45:46

Your disgusting lowlife scumbag LICKED the spoon and that's why it was damp!

Actually I only came to check out your petty AIBU you mentioned on thread about AIBU and you did not disappoint grin.

NuffSaidSam Sun 11-Oct-15 20:46:46

DH left broccoli residue in the yoghurt the other day shock.

I'm leaving the bastard of course.

cleaty Sun 11-Oct-15 20:48:21

YABU Haven't you got anything better to do than focus on this pettiness.
