to think bad and horrible children do not deserve Christmas presents?

For the first time ever I have purchased and wrapped presents before December 23rd.

Bad and horrible children have been investigating, feeling, squashing and shaking presents.

They are now bickering about 'she's got mire than me' and 'hers is bigger than mine', and guessing what's in the boxes.

I am very cross and tempted to donate the lot to the nearest charity.

Bad and horrible children are 16 and 18 and should know better. If they don't buck their ideas up a bit I'll let slip The Truth about FC.

YABU not to have hidden them better wink

They should know that FC only delivers to "good" children. You should always follow through with consequences grin

PreMadonna Sun 30-Nov-14 16:01:08

I have never actually admitted The Truth. I think they'd be proper shocked.

There is no such thing as bad or horrible children, it is bad or horrible behaviour grin (and then I blame the parents wink )

addictedtobass Sun 30-Nov-14 16:04:02

Lol you should have hidden their gifts and wrapped up cleaning utensils to baffle them with.

PreMadonna Sun 30-Nov-14 16:04:12

Oh bugger. They found the unwrapped sledges. 'I want the red one' 'no I'm having the red one'

I swear it was easier and nicer when they were little.

kittykathat Sun 30-Nov-14 16:06:15

Get them a lump of coal

ReggieJones Sun 30-Nov-14 16:06:47

Oh dear OP, surely unwrapped sledges was never going to end well.

It probably won't snow anyway so they won't get any use out of them.

Ilovetobiteyourneck Sun 30-Nov-14 16:08:34

Tell them the sledges are for the good kids down the road and you're just storing them. Then take them back and get your money back. That'll learn 'em!

AGnu Sun 30-Nov-14 16:09:40

I'd wait until they were out, hide the presents in the loft & tell them I'd taken them to the charity shop & that Christmas was cancelled this year. Then I'd keep up the pretence until Christmas eve, send them to bed early & go mad with decorating the house! grin

Anyone know where I have hidden some of DD's presents?

TheBatteriesHaveRunOut Sun 30-Nov-14 16:12:13

I think FC needs to write them letters telling them they are on the Norty List.

You may need to make sure FC does not have your handwriting. You achieve this with wine.

PreMadonna Sun 30-Nov-14 16:12:42

The sledges are from the pound shop.

Yes! £1 for a sledge!!!

So not a great loss but still. Bloody buggering gits.

Any more misbehaviour and it surly will be lump of coal time.

QOD Sun 30-Nov-14 16:16:58

I've just been to the states and they sell bags of coal for naughty children
chocolate coal but coal

tis fab

elfycat Sun 30-Nov-14 16:17:05

Remind them that the elf-on-the-shelf will be there tomorrow and watching out for bad behaviour.

Then stick a Xmas decoration on any available soft toy (or draw a face on the decoration in emergency situations). Have it stare malevolently at them all month and you can talk to it about their behaviour.

No one will take you away somewhere safe and give you floaty medication

That'll put the fear into them.

Exit...ha ha! Let me tell you something...I generally buy most of my own xmas prezzies...I even wrap most of them...but I am going through the change and my memory is shot to pieces...come Christmas morning I have forgotten whats in the presents so have a lovely surprize...Hows that for funny!! (you have to laugh or you'll cry...)

Donate all their pressies and get them a goat each. But remember to get them the same colour so they don't argue. grin

MrsHathaway Sun 30-Nov-14 16:44:29

I love the "stick them in the loft" idea.

Is the pitying stare not working?
