Perhaps ye have seen the media frenzy around Sinead O'Connor's open letters to Miley Cyrus?

Personally, I would have phrased it differently, but I do think Sinead was
trying to reach a young female audience, trying to highlight a major issue
in contemporary media, using the fact that Miley named her as an influence to try to highlight the issue of not needing to take your clothes off to sell records, and to also highlight how damaging these images / attitudes are to young women.
I admire Sinead for talking so openly and frankly about mental illness, and for scolding brat Miley for sneering at it. I have always admired Sinead, even if I didn't always agree with her.
Some people think she is madder than a bag of wasps & dimiss her, but I think she has made some relevant points, & has tried to use her fame to spread a good message for girls.
I have watched a few Sinead interviews and vids with my DS to tell her about Sinead, because she was playing Wrecking Ball parody vids and wrecking my head.
Sinead might have tatooed B and Q on her cheeks but Sinead is Sinead, she does this stuff, and is always 100% into whatever it is she's into at the time. She would be a good MNer, because she likes swear words, and I think she has smashed cakes in some of her videos. She ripped the Popes picture up too.
I don't usually jump on media hyped up crap, but I think Sinead is raising some huge issues at a time when there is a tide of irrelevant superficial crap in pop music and popular culture.
Does anyone else feel that they support Sinead in this?
AIBU?
AIBU to be agreeing with Sinead O'Connor
