DD has asked for one not really sure what they do but i know they connect with iphone/ipad in some way (i'm not technically minded!!)
But it's the kind of thing she likes.

you could get one between them

Also might be better posting in the "christmas" section for recommendations.

I thought about it, I had one first time round, then I seen the price and thought 'fuck that'

What actually is the point of a furbie??

Report
pumpkinhellokitty · 22/10/2012 17:08

hi scootle -

each one has its own personality depending on how you look after them
you never know how they are going to react to the different things that you do to them

they react - move and make noises when you -

pull there tail
tickle there tummy
hang them upside down
cuddle them
when you talk to them
when you feed them
when you play music

My older Dc's had furbies the first time round.

I thought the same thing awwww aint they cute etc.

They drove me friggin mental the creepy wee fuckers used to start talking to each other for no reason, at odd times. They were always cheeping and chirping and you couldnt switch the buggers off. They used to talk to some other toy we had too but cant remember what it was now

Soon as interest was lost off to the charity shop they went. :o

Thank you pumpkin Don't they make noises in the middle of the night and wake your dc up. I am so sick of soft toys but this might be a fallback option if I can't think of anything else for dds!

I nearly bought one the other day.

I got all nostalgic about the one I had (that my mother broke when she was 3 sheets to the wind at their New Year's Eve party) and realised how much they cost so put it back on the shelf sharpish

Dd 5 has a pink and purple one. She hasn't really played with anything else since it came! I did think it was ridiculous on the price tho, by the time I knew about it so did she, dh bought it co he secretly wanted to play. Otherwise it would have been saved for Xmas. But I'd rather get the tat she likes than what I like and it's still in he box next year!
