My mum's birthday is on Friday, we live 2 hours away and I can't get to visit my parents for the next few weeks, so I can't take her out for a meal.
She has everything she wants and more disposable income than me so buying for her is tricky. I asked my Dad and he had no ideas for himself, let alone me!
So I have ordered her a bouquet to be delivered on her birthday, I chose a flower she loves and colours that match the decoration in the living room, and the woman said it would be a decent size. It is from the florist that did my wedding so I know the flowers will be lovely.
But it seems so weird sending her something that is not very long lasting and seems strangely impersonal. Normally I would buy her a small bunch and give her a present but like I say I am out of ideas this year!
So AIBU to just send a bouquet?
