Dd is 5 too and her Christmas list is currently blutacked to our living room wall where we are 'not allowed to take it down til Christmas'... Hmm

Her list says (amongst other things):
princes plasds (princess plasters)
box ov swits (box of sweets)
skwinkiz (squinkies? Guess who has been watching ads)
lali kali shooz (over my dead body)

£10 a week? Lucky mare :o I am sticking 3 quid a week and started in May...

*sticking 3 quid a week IN MY PIGGY BANK

:o lol.

FMP - we have it as the toy book - I give him a month till he gets a pen out & stars what he wants, and then 2 months till he wants to cut it up & stick the pictures on his list for father xmas.

ad - sooo glad it's not just DS lol.

melted - have to this year, am PG, & due in august so once bubs arrives i'll be lucky to manage £5 a week I think, but tbh i've got it pretty much covered already, so anything over will mainly be getting spent on my car tax which is due end of december. :(

(besides as me dad says even £2 a week is better than nothing as it's still £100 quid, which is half for food & half for pressies)

Well I shall need more than the 84 quid I shall have at the time (though occasionally I do CRAZY things like put a random extra quid or two in :o) but I decided it would ease the pain of forking out all at once. Congrats on your pg (again... lucky mare, I wants another one, hard to make with no penis around though :o)

Probably more like a hundred actually. Yay, knowing that has made me smile :)

:o steady on extra quid or two. that's what we've decided tbh with 2 now plus all the family we gotta save of the boy will find a lump of coal a satsuma and be happy. lol.

ah dunno - could always use a turkey baster (just not the xmas one Wink)

haha, I could use a turkey baster but it doesn't sound as appealing. Arg, extended family presents, who to buy for, how much to spend. Blardy family/Christmas politics :o

quite, we have 3 kids incl DSS, 4 nephews/neices, 2 sets of parents, 2 sets of grandparents & only my bro & SIL DP's lot do cards. I figure boots have 3 for 2's which will sort out all the nephews/neices/grandparents parents can have a voucher each at £15 quid from M&S, (in fact they're valid for a year I think so might get one a month from now till xmas) so really will only be the kids - god only knows what that will be/when we'll get it. :o

Good plan DTM. JanJoJo :o My DS is only two, I am off the hook for a couple of years yet, phew... or is a couple of years a bit optimistic? He's actually nearing three.

i'm sure we were never like this with our parent's were we? hopefully not - althou no wonder my folks have literally always done a xmas club (remember going to drop the money off for mum as a kid to the lollipop lady)

melt - 2 3 you'll be good for another year I think, DS was 4 when he wanted his first party for birthday & xmas. i'm sure he think's santa's made of money given everything he wanted was a fortune, so far we have half the argos bok, a new wii a ds and a 'oh mummy what's that - oh yes one of those' - me - DS 'but you don't know what it is' DS - yes but I want it. :o oh to be 5 again. lol.

and it's not just boys toys - he wants girls as well.

Argos catalog is brill for encouraging literacy & numeracy skills Wink.
One year DC each totted up lists worth over 1000 quid (yes, I made them add it all up) out of Argos, what they wanted for their birthdays.

Nooooooooo! They can't have an argos christmas list yet, the July catalogue isn't out yet and that has the Christmas toys in! At the grand old age of 30 I still get excited about the argos catalogue!
