Why are you awake

MummyOf4Kids · 30/07/2021 05:13

I woke up at 3.30 this morning, can't get back to sleep so I'm gonna get up. Highly annoying as it's my day off and was looking forward to a lie in before keeping dd5 entertained all day.
So if you're awake and reading this why are you awake?

It’s windy and also dd used to come in our bed but she’s started sleeping through but I’m not used to it. Also ruminating about my mum’s constant need for attention and running over conversations in my head.

I’m feeding my 6 week old. I only have 1 eye open. The other hasn’t caught up yet.

On the plus side this is only his second wake up of the night!

Been laying here for 2 hours reading MN trying to get back to sleep. Meeting my friend at 6.30am for a run and then I'm driving to Scotland (6 hours driveShock). Not sure there is enough coffee in the world to get me through the day . Good luck everyone who's going to feel crap today as well.

My 5 week old has just woke the full house as it is imperative that he gets fed this very second as by the sounds of it he's not been fed in days and is near starvation🙊😂

My brain is conspiring against me....
I woke up coughing and when I tried to go back to sleep it decided to remind me of all the crap thats ever happened in my life 🙄
Getting up at 4am was easier than mulling over that shit.
I have a really important day today, always the way, isn't it?
Im not a good sleeper although this week has been better up until this morning.

Pregnancy insomnia, up since 4am and only have another 10 minutes to lie here in peace before getting harassed by a toddler.

Awake since 2.30am.
Stress and anxiety.
It’s the same every night but I will probably fall asleep again around 6.30 and wake at 11.
That’s what has been happening the last week or so.
I’m on holiday atm but when I am at work I have to get up at 6am. The lack of sleep is horrendous.

It’s too hot in my bedroom (24.5 🔥) and I’m 6 weeks pregnant so my bladder also thinks it’s funny to wake me up in the night

DC2 woke up at 3.30am with tooth pain. Finally got him back to sleep at 5am in my bed only to be woken up by DC1 banging on my door wanting a hug.

The cat came in and jumped on the bed at 5am. It’s raining and she was sopping wet so I got up to dry her with a flannel. I’m an early riser anyway and always get up between 5-6am.

Woken by tue cat meowing outside, we don't have a cat flap and the little shit decided to go out at 11pm last night just before the storm hit, its now very windy and wet out. I now have a soggy cat on my bed licking his balls. I also slept funny and now have a painful neck and shoulders 😭.

Do see your gp. Anxiety sucks and lack of sleep won't help, see if you can get some sleeping pills for a week to get you back into a good sleep pattern.

Mom to an ASD child who likes to get up at 4am to eat all the cereal and get up to all sorts. She desperately needed to google a geology question at 5am today. So I got an extra hour yay lol

Woke at 4am as I have done for 3 nights in a row for no reason. Am listening to DH snore. I can't even blame the dawn chorus, sent even hear a single tweet today. Strangely I'm not even feeling tired. We go on holiday later but don't think its excitement Grin
