I hate my sister's wedding dress.
I think it's awful but the rest of bridal party, and obviously my sister, love it.
Just needed to get that off my chest. Feel free to share yours. Worst sister ever Blush

@Walkthroughthefire I don't think it makes you the worst sister, you would be if you told her 😂
I HATE my sisters boyfriend so I win 😁

I win, because I hated dsis's wedding dress, and the groom Grin.

She still looked beautiful on her wedding day, though.

Ah that's a shame op. My dsis and I have different tastes too, don't worry about it. As long as you don't get drunk at the hen do or something and tell herGrin I'm wondering what it looks like now .....

I am completely unable to judge how awful you are unless you post a photo!

ColdNeverBotheredMeAnyway · 19/02/2019 14:10

I'd say you are being a lovely sister by not telling her, and just biting your tongue and letting her be happy with the dress!

Go on, tell us how bad it is! Is it 'Say Yes to the Dress' level of awful, or what?

I really want to know what dress it is!

I think quite a few brides choose unflattering dresses and make the mistake of buying the first dress they try on.

What’s wrong with the dress?

That felt good to get it out. It's everything I don't like. The material the style and I don't think it suits her. It's not totally out there, just very plain. Just not what I expected I suppose.
Luckily I love my sister and her fiancè so that's a relief. She will look incredible on the day. She usually look amazing

I hate my sister and hated her dress. She looked way too thin in her dress and it was far too simple looking for the money she paid.

She didn't pick me as her MOH or bridesmaid, sat us at the back of the reception and not at the top table, booked DH to provide a service (he works in the wedding industry), then changed her mind very last minute 'cause she felt it would be 'too complicated' having family helping (even though he was doing it for free and had turned down other bookings, oh and other family members were helping with the day).

She lives abroad now. Even my DPs are relieved.

NC obviously lol

Who could possibly have a problem with that cake dress??? :o

I hate my sister's dreadful woo habit. I can't say anything because she's quite sensitive about it.

I find my sil incredibly boring. I deride her parenting skills too, having watched her feed her kids on shite for years. I don't like the DC either, which is probably not their fault, because their parents have largely let them get on with zero interference. I would never dream of ever saying any of this to her, of course. I am an incredibly bad person to feel this way, I know.

OP, you are NOT a bad sister, as long as you NEVER tell your sister this!

I've seen many a dress that's shit. That strapless trend. Holy hell, NO ONE looks good in those horrors, it always looks like a corset with a petticoat attached and you forgot to put your dress on over it, they're shit. Mermaid style ones are dire, too.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 19/02/2019 15:02

I had a distinct dislike of a friends wedding dress. It looked more like the dress was wearing her rather than the other way around.

As for my sister; we're happier and get on better living quite some distance apart. Hey ho.

@APerson, same thing with my DSis’s wedding! She sat me and DH on the oldies table - there were a solid 4 decades between us and all our table mates.

All this so I wouldn’t be able to spend time with my other sisters at the wedding - I lived abroad and had flown 5,000 miles to be there. Spiteful bitch.

What was your dress like Taima?

I wore a shift dress from Coast because strapless dresses and mermaid style dresses look like shit. I was a size 6 back in those days. We eloped.
