Wrapping things in a hamper

I've put together a hamper for DM and Mil. I want to wrap the mains things such as perfume in the hamper so they can have some things to open. Would you wrap some items in a hamper?

That's a good question. I have done the same fir my mum and can't decide whether to wrap or not. Not much help I know!

What else is in the hamper? How many items would you want to wrap?

If o got a hamper with a few bits wrapped I would assume those bits were extra special

I'm glad I'm not the only one wondering this! I know it's such a first world problem but I want to do it right lol

I would. Hampers take so much work and always end up costing a fortune, but most people I've given them to just unwrap it and then don't even take everything out to see what's in there, so at least wrapping a few bits would make the opening last a bit longer.

Sounds lovely. Some items for unwrapping would make it a bit more of a surprise.

There will be a few more expensive things such as the perfume but haven't got the others yet. Then small fillers like candles and chocolate.

Yeah is wrap them up then if there's clearly a difference in cost / value

I had the same dilemma, I've done beauty hampers for my teenage nieces but wanted to wrap all the bits, which doesn't look so nice in a hamper so instead of a hamper I've wrapped them up and put them in a giant cracker these were £1.99 each from the card factory and look lovely. Obviously not quite as posh as a hamper but definitely novel.

I did a hamper for my dad & step mum. I didn't wrap the individual things because nothing was very expensive (things like nice crisps, biscuits, tea bags!), but I might have done if there were things like perfume etc

Perhaps wrap some bits in coloured tissue paper?

I would either wrap all of the items, or none of them (and hope they don't open the perfume first leading to unreasonably high expectations with the rest of the gifts!).
MrsCrimbo, do you mind saying what exactly you have put in those crackers? They look lovely, and am trying to gauge how much would fit in them.

I've done his for PIL and family members. Wrapped every item in the hamper and then in cellophane etc
