Hello... hoping you can help...

We have a 15 yr old German girl staying with us for Christmas and I have no idea what to get her. It's also her birthday over Christmas so, extra pressure!

We will get about £150 to spend on her (covers food & entertainment too) on top of her usual amount.

She doesn't wear make up, doesn't like HP, twilight or anything fantasy like, she doesn't like to bake, she doesn't really read books or watch films. She's not that fussed by clothes (wears a lot of her dad's bar and band t-shirt cast offs!) and I'd described her look as... 90s! (Ripped jeans, lumberjack shirts and vintage style addidas).

She does like chocolate and plays the flute and piano. Her main hobbies appear to be Facebook and Skype...

Help?!

A day out / experience day?

I did think of sheet music but I'll have to rope in a better person to help me select what... not sure my y3 recorder qualifies me much. I also don't know what she already had in Germany. Although, her parents might be able to help me with that one.

What sort of experience day could be good? Spa day is out! Also, she leaves at the end of January so has to be something available before then.

Seeing a musical in the West End but not sure if that's too expensive.

Nice stationery? For school?

Theatre trip would be a good one else, or a gig - something to remember. When I was on my French exchange at school, my exchange partner's mum was a TV presenter and the best trip was to watch her record her show. I remember that more than the rest of the trip!

I think the west ends out but more because of our geography :) perhaps manchester or Liverpool though, good shout.

Stationary is a good idea. I could make up her stocking with that and chocolate plus some hair bobbles etc.

Ah ... then I can keep the tin when she goes... always useful!

She doesn't cook - says she doesn't like it. She will help me and can chop veg etc. without problems but clearly does it under sufferance!

If she spends a lot of time on Facebook could you go on and see what pages she has 'liked', might give you some ideas?
