Pram for 2 year old? Wood or plastic?

She has the chunky plastic one (more of a baby walker than a toy pram) but is now more confident on her feet so I'dlike something lighter.

Ideally want style where doll would face her and (in a perfect world) not pink. I prefer the aesthetic of wooden toys but will go for plastic if people think they will get used more. DS had wooden pram when he was younger and just used to drag it behind him as it was a bit awkward to steer.

I bought my dd a beautiful moover wooden one for her second Christmas. She hardly touches it but covets the plastic baby annabell one at playgroup Hmm

My dd got a black and green silvercross pram for Christmas when she was two and still plays with it often 18m later.

We have both and tbh, the plastic/metal one is far superior for manoeuvrability. It also folds down.
The wooden one is just a doll and teddy storage box - she's literally pushed it about twice ever. The cheap metal one is played with daily. We got the £5 umbrella fold one so it would fit under her real pram and we could encourage her to walk further once we got to the safety of the park.
Considering buying her a better one either when new baby comes or for xmas. Def wont do wooden again.

Ah, suspected as much, thank you all for responses. We have a 'pram' type plastic one in loft (mamas and papas) but think it will be far too big for her (we had it given to us). I'm sure I saw that somewhere dud a mini 'version'?

As an alternative idea, dd has a lightweight metal child's shopping trolley, which we got her in France in a thrift shop when she was one and a half - I'm sure they do them over here too. It has a baby seat, so serves to push the baby doll around, but can also push toy food around... It has been a great hit with all dc who have come over to play, and is possibly the best two euro I have ever spent.

I got this gorgeous wicker pram for DD when she was 2. It's very light so she had no difficulty managing it. It has lasted well but has never been used outdoors and it wouldn't stand up to rough play.

Smyths do a lovely one. It's dark blue. I got my daughter a wooden moover pram that wasn't used at all. Sits I. Her room with dolls in but she does use the smyths one. I'll find a link

Many moons ago DD had one of these, I knew her well enough to know it would mainly be used as a wheel barrow for mud pie making.
Think about all her personal foibles and choose accordingly. The shopping trolley sounds good.

Haha, that sounds just like our DD! I adore the navy one but think I might be best waiting another year or so for one like that and stick with the smaller type. Thank you everyone.
