So I know I'm not the only Irish crazy early Christmas-er, so I thought we should have a little section for stock coming in over here.

My local dunnes has some Christmas labels in. Some stop here Santa signs and some lanterns. Does dunnes usual do matching wrapping paper to their labels becAuse they have some lovely labels in blues and silvers.
Dunnes also have Christmas sweets in; medium selection boxes €3, the large cadburys one €4 and roses/heroes/celebration tubs are €7.

Beady eye bargains on Facebook is where you need to be to get all your info. It has it all grin

Thanks Jeannie, will have to keep an eye on that. Nearest Tesco is about 20 mins drive away so can't just pop in and check.
Byrnes bookshop have Equistria Girls half price at €12.50, was thinking about getting one for DN (4). Is this a good price? This was in store so not sure if it's on the website as well.

The chocolate tubs are €6 in tesco!

Penneys and dealz apparently have their Christmas stuff in, and lidl have their Christmassy food out.

Another just joined that group today actually! It seems pretty good smile

Deedeecupcake Mon 05-Oct-15 13:10:34

Thanks TheOnlyPink! Looks like a trip to Tesco is in order. Was planning on doing Dealz and Penny's to see wrapping paper this week, but now really want to see what Dunnes has after seeing the labels.

Heaton's is doing half price toys at the moment (I have a niece and a nephew with birthdays round now - I also now have all their Christmas pressies bought!)

Jeanniejampots80 Mon 05-Oct-15 13:14:45

I have requested to join it a few days ago and still no acceptance! sad

Deedeecupcake Mon 05-Oct-15 13:15:37

Heaton's had a massive set of Lego Chima (think it had 5 different sets in one box) down to €40 from €80. Definitely a great buy for any Lego mad child.

Jeannie - if you want to PM me your name I think I can add you, as I am in the group? Can't find any way to approve requests in though.

Mothercare in Jervis is apparently having a closing down sale at 50% off

Deedeecupcake Mon 05-Oct-15 16:15:11

They've said on beady eyes that Tesco half price toy sale starts at 6am on Wednesday online and then instore.

Jeanniejampots80 Mon 05-Oct-15 22:09:40

Some people reporting some tescos have started already

Deedeecupcake Wed 07-Oct-15 07:56:12

Dunnes Christmas stock has increased, we now have bags that do match the tags so holding out for matching wrapping paper. There's also a reward chart for a child for six weeks to be sent to Santa. Was thinking of starting this at the end of November with the mindees, €2.50.
There's also a letter writing kit which comes with a pencil and stickers which I think is very cute at €2. Nothing in the range of Christmas stationary seems to be over €2.50 which isn't too bad.
They also have a large stock of frozen gift bags, it looks like the frozen trend isn't dying out any time soon so they might be handy To get for school birthday presents during the year...

Argos have the Lego advent calanders reduced.... Just reserved one.... For my husband smile

Deedeecupcake Thu 08-Oct-15 14:03:33

Oh how much are the Lego calendars?
Dunnes still have no wrapping paper angry but they do have some lovely sturdy gift boxes. They seem like really good quality, ranging from €4 - €12 that I could see. Going to use two of them for pamper hampers for my SILs.
Anyone fell get anything decent in the Tesco sale?

Deedeecupcake Thu 08-Oct-15 16:44:07

O'Briens have 25% off prosecco until Wednesday, prices starting at €8.99. Might pop in and get some to go in SIL hampers. Is the Aldi prosecco any good and what price is it does anyone know?

Jeanniejampots80 Thu 08-Oct-15 18:32:11

They are 29 but still have not picked it up as some said the art and hobby shops are cheaper? Also M&S Belgian Choc 500g boxes ( a Christmas staple in our family) are two for a tenner. Smaller tins are 11.99 each!

Deedeecupcake Thu 08-Oct-15 20:24:08

I was in Byrnes bookshop (again) today and they had Lego city advent calendar for €26.99. Not sure you have one near you if you're talking about M&S though envyenvy ( Can you tell I miss living in Dublin? grin)

Photobox have a buy one get one free until 12/10 with this code IEFLASH.

Also have a desk calendar down to €6 with code IESECRET.

Posted this on the other thread but thought it would probably benefit Irish mnetters more.
