Really complex marble run - you can great ones off Amazon with lifts and that light up. Ds (11) thought his was fab.

Ds loves his pen knife and he is getting a book on how to whittle for Christmas to go with it.

Still loves nerf guns.

There is an alarm clock in the WH Smith Gadget shop that tells you the weather and stuff for the day. Ds is getting that too.

The latest Bop It game. £14.99 at Toys R Us

www.toysrus.co.uk/Toys-R-Us/Toys/Games/Games/Bop-It-Beats(0128369)

Have got my 12 year old that, Vaporizr remote controlled car, a Diary of a Wimpy Kid board game, (cheap) bean bag and some DVDs to bulk out a small pile (compared to much younger siblings.)

Would you need a raspberry pi if you already had a computer? What does it actually do?

my dh is a computery type and he says that you don't need a raspberry pi if you have a pc.

I am unconvinced, as I think it is probably more accessible. A bit like you don't need a tablet if you have a laptop, but actually people find the tablet more flexible.
