Dd doesn't want anything for Christmas and has tons of stuff, not really into 'playing' I've forced a few things and she has said she'd like a secret diary (£10) so I was all sorted then saw her dancing with her little sister to Christmas songs on my phone which she does a lot (not just Christmas songs though)Grin and thought of getting her a CD player or iPod type thing so she could play music!! Why did I not think of this before...!?!? Hmm She would love it!! So should I twitch, or wait til her birthday? which is only January so not too long

Swap them round, give the forced things for her birthday or save them for presents for other people, or return them...

Get it! You can always put some of the other things away for her birthday. DS (6) loves his CD player(an old one of mine) - he has all sorts of cd's and audio books for it.

Well you see the CD player opens up a whole world of other gifts... CDs, audio books. Was thinking possibly an iPod touch instead so she can use our spotify/iTunes and have some games too!

Unless someone has to go without food, why wouldn't you buy it?

She'll love it, what more encouragement do you need?!

I'd go for 'modern' and get something you can download books and music on. Depending on what you can afford.
