OMG it's NOVEMBER!

I love Christmas, but it's about a month before ours is bought.

yes Blush Blush Blush

My excuse is that the kids pestered and pestered but really I love the cheerfulness of the decorations and lights

Shall we all come back on the 27th December and see if the early putter-uppers have still got their trees up?

Not yet but there are a few houses locally with theirs up.

For those with trees already up - are they real or artificial?

@much it's an artificial tree I'm not keen on real ones I've never seen one I liked Hmm

Ah, see that's my main reason for not having our tree up until mid-December.

We always have a real one. I'd be worried that there would be no needles left by Christmas if we had it up too soon!

It's much too early for me. We have a real tree and it won't go up until about a week before Christmas, and will come down on 6th January. If DH had his way which he won't the tree wouldn't go up until Xmas Eve!

I usually have a real tree in the living room and fake in playroom and kitchen but I'm having all fake this year because my DD is a nightmare and I think she's going to pull them over!

I take them down before new year regardless... I prefer the build up Grin

I've seen a couple of houses with their window displays up nearby and a couple of my instagram followers put theirs up at the weekend. I don't even so much as entertain Christmas until the evening of the 30th of November and the decorations end up coming down before new year as well. I love them, I love Christmas dearly but I don't half get sick of it all after three weeks Grin.

Not yet. Usually wait until the 1st but it can go up on Sunday evening before the dc hang up their advent calendars.
I am however drinking my morning tea out of a Christmas mug I bought a set of in home bargains at the weekend.

I'm in a turmoil as to when to put my tree up - next weekend feels too early, then we have a busy weekend ton the 6/7 plus I'm working away all week the following week, so at the minute it might not be until the 12/13...which is late for me.

Having said that, last year I put them up on the 1st and it felt too long....maybe 12/13 might be a blessing in disguise.

I drink my tea out of a Christmas mug all year round because it's just the right size and thickness Grin

My tree isn't up yet, I have made the mistake if putting it up to early before and was so used to it by Christmas that it became part of the furniture and didn't feel special any more.

My neighbour had theirs up on 1st of November Shock
