Scented candles

I was thinking about getting myself a nice scented candle for over the Christmas period - maybe something cinamonny or pine needly. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

Not cinnamon or pine but colony cranberry and vanilla candles smell devine and not over powering.

I've had loads, colony, Yankee, lilyflame but still think you can't beat the ikea ones and you can buy shit loads of the ones in the small jars really cheaply Grin

White company 'winter' has cinnamon, orange, clove scents .....smells Christmassy

Ooh that white company one sounds nice. I'm going nowhere near an ikea (pop in for a candle, spend £200 on stuff I don't need) but I've just seen their toy kitchen is £49 at the moment which is a bargain!

Yankee Candle Sparkling Cinnamon (cinnamon and clove)

I bought the White Company ones after another thread last year and was disappointed with them, didn't think they smelled very Christmassy at all, just sort of cloying and they were expensive. I also bought Wax Lyrical Vanilla and Cinnamon, which I think I got in Waitrose, liked that one much better.

I've got a lovely Ikea £2 one burning at the minute, I find Yankees either not strong enough once lit or massively overwhelming, ikea ones are just the right amount of scent and are cheap as chips Grin

Oh just seen you don't want to go to ikea, in that case I got a gorgeous cranberry one from Asda not too long ago

I bought some Yankee Tealights ( I have a candle holder screen on the kitchen windowsill) - IIRC buy-one-get-one-half-price from Clintons.

Spiced orange (smells a bit like Pears soap) and Salted Caramel (one of my favourite)
I'm going to mix them to burn together Smile

My neighbour bought me one from costco, it's a red cinnamon one in a big round glass bowl with 4 wicks. It's sat unlit with the lid off for a week and the smell is lovely anyway! Just lit it though as I couldn't resist and smells nice :)
Think it was about a tenner.

The wick on my white company one went after four days Angry. It just completely burnt out. it smells amazing so I was utterly gutted, I'm just glad I only bought the small £10 one and hadn't spent £20+ on it tbh.

Yankee candles are the best IMO. I have a slight addiction Grin. There's a pine needle one, I have it. They do a lot of different Christmassy scents, the snowflake cookie one is my personal favourite.
