Just as token gifts for DS's god mother and her husband They don't have children but buy for DS so want to get them something.

Do you do this? Any ideas?

God I love the Christmas topic. Three threads in 24 hours :-)

A day out with their godson? Grin
I may not be the best present giver!

How old is your son does he have any ideas?

I always give dd's godparents photo gifts with pictures of dd! They seem to like them - they claim to, anyway. We also buy them restaurant vouchers and stuff, but then they are our closest friends and more like family.

I know its boring but stick with a gift voucher for somewhere like John Lewis- they can pretty much spend it on what they want in there (homewares, clothes, electronics to name but a few). Or maybe they'd appreciate something handmade by your son? I agree you should get them something but it doesn't have to be expensive.

He's 4 and would quite like to buy them a chocolate coin maker! Hmm

(I've said they are crap and he's not getting one, so think he sees this as a good option)

She's never taken DS out, she's not a very hands on GM.

Vouchers is good.

What would I put in a hamper?

DS could make something - I could ask but I've got a feeling he would want to make afore mentioned chocolate coins (what is it about that thing)

Nice coffee and tea, or posh oil and vinegar?

Food hamper. Something I have been given in the past and adored. Some nice cheese, preserves, honey , tea, marmalade, olives biscuits,, something bubbly to drink or stronger, mustard, nice oil, vinegar, pickles, chocolates- the list in endless. Have a look at some posh stores websites, although ALDI is a great place to stock up on items like these.

If it were me and DH, a board/card game would go down very well :)
