Does anyone know this book?

Know it's a weird request but I'm trying to find a book for dn for Christmas. When my dsis was young (about 20yrs ago) she had a book about fairies, I think it was the Flower fairies but can't be sure. It was about them getting dressed for a ball or something and one of them lost the Fairy Queen's shoes but that's all she & I can remember. Dsis has been buying/collecting all the books she loved as a child for her dd since she was born but she can't find this one and can't find out what it was called.

Would really like to find it and surprise dsis/dn with it for Christmas but can't find out what it was called either, know it's an outside chance but does anyone know what it might be????

There are only 8 original Flower Fairy books and one of those is recipes etc so it couldn't be that one. Have a look on Penguin's site where you can read tiny extracts and see if it rings a bell, the language in Flower Fairies is very distinctive. There is a 50% off code at the top of the page for today only.

Sorry pressed post too soon. There is a book containing all the books so if you think it is Flower Fairies you could get that.

There are a few websites where you can search for books by plot - www.whatsthatbook.com/ is one of them. It might be worth a shot.

A couple of years ago I used a bookfinder search thing where you could actually enter key words and vague details and it would come up with matched suggestions - I can't find it now. Gutting.

Thanks Doublemum - had a look and it doesn't look like any of them (was only a small book I think) so perhaps not Flower Fairies, but that helps narrow it down.

Think I remember also it was something about the Fairy Queen having to go off and help kids sleep or something, not that that helps very much. Will try that site though Hassled, thanks.

Try posting on the forums on the abebooks site- if you give as many details as possible, they will probably be able to help you!

Hi OP, could you post on here? It is a fairy web site and on of the forums includes fairy literature. Perhaps someone on here can help.

Could it be the short story "A fairy secret" in ENID BLYTON'S GOOD MORNING BOOK

You should ask on the Enid Blyton forum. They are very knowledgeable!
