My son's teacher is a young man (early 20's)-need inspiration for a suitable teacher pressie (around the £5 mark). Thanks!

Giant mug. I always buy them for young male colleagues when I get lumbered with them for secret Santa and they always go down well - the bigger the better.

or chocolate

All the male teachers and TAs I work with prefer edible gifts to other stuff.

Teacher's like stationary... A pack of nice coloured pens (for writing - not colouring!!), fancy post it notes etc

I once recieved a £5 token for the cinema which was cool.

Girl teachers like stationery. Boy teachers only like things they can eat.

Honestly, I would get your dc to make him a nice card instead. My aunt who was a primary school teacher used to have to give away so many chocs etc at Christmas as there was no way she could eat them all, plus all kinds of other bits and pieces she was given that she didn't know what to do with. All gratefully received but actually a bit of a waste.

be really original and go for a tie or sox - every male teacher needs a christmas tie or 2! or some homer simpson santa sox

Just asked dp&he said, though it seems boring, a cheap memory stick is always mega useful.

Chocolate and wine. Same as for a female teacher!

Is your son in primary or secondary?

Wine, beer/real ale, chocolates, iTunes voucher have all gone down well in the past as long as not more than £5/6

Everything deva said.
Amazon voucher is a treat as well - can buy a book etc

I like the idea of wine a lot but don't like dcs taking it into school and they like to hand over their gifts.
