I want to make a huge batch of delish Rocky Road and put it in some fancy cake boxes, just smallish ones for family members for Christmas a pressy.

Im due my baby in January and will be on reduced pay so need to keep costs down as low as possible.

Ive looked on ebay but they are rather plain on there, i wanted some pretty/fancy ones.

Thanks x

I bought some from Hobbycraft last year, they were lovely, not expensive.

And YY Lakeland- they've got their Christmas products online (but I haven't had my catalogue yet, and I know other people have Angry )

Posted too soon! I've used all those companies, all reliable Smile They do some nice cello bags too which can be just as good for rocky road and often cheaper.

do you have a B & M bargains near you? They had some lovely and very cheap cupcake boxes in recently which would be perfect (if not I think home bargains and quality save are part of the same chain).

Lakeland usually do both plain and Christmassy cellophane bags which would also be great for rocky road.

nananaps I have some Christmas cellophane bags that you are welcome to. I think there are about ten bags about the size of a DL envelope. They are printed with a red and green design of candy canes and sweets (I think). PM me if you want them.

I will have to search for them in the under stairs cupboard of doom, though Grin

That is a lovely idea.
Can I ask, what do you put in it to make it a Christmas Rocky Road? or just normal recipe?

Ahh woollybacks that is SO lovely and kind of you xxx

Naa nothing Christmassy about rocky road, just pure undiluted bloody scrumptiousness that i know every one will love.
(its a stolen recipe from my pal at work, we all fight over the tin when she brings it in, its so nice)
Yum yum yum...

Cupboard of doom excavated.

I have 14 bags that I can pop in the post to you if you want them. They haven't got any ties to close them - I think I used curling ribbon.

Click on "message poster" on the far right hand side of the bar with my name on on one of my posts.

It will bring up a dialogue box for you to write a message. Type what you want and then press send.
